A-cold steel
B-ZT
in general all around use of any products made by either brand. not talking rust-resistance, but physical strength:confused:

I may be completely off-base here but I kinda think "B" will be chosen by most based on user reviews here and elsewhere on the internet.

By a landslide.

Come on, I don't see how this could possibly go South. On an unrelated note, I'm carrying a tape measure in the event of a pissing match.

:confused:Why do you keep posting these "this vs that" threads? That's very troll-esque of you...

To keep things on topic I like ZT more.

How else is he supposed to get his post count up?

I agree with Jarrett2k, a Cold Steel fixed blade MIGHT hold up in relation to a ZT folder. Cold Steel is a bargain for cheap money, and that's all they'll ever be (in my opinion, of course).

um... really?

Bro, that's like asking us to compare Hi-point to glock.... it's just silly

Cold steel (excluding a few of their VERY high end stuff) is just a joke.

Wait so do you want to know "in general?" or in "physical strength"?

Two totally separate classes of companies. Apples to oranges.

I don't think he is trying to do that. After putting up these threads he rarely comes back

Well, I guess a Cold Steel fixed blade MIGHT hold up better than a ZT folder?

Maybe.

What he said. Also, quality-wise, ZT is much better.

Unless your trying to hammer something with only the spine of the blade, the tri-ad lock may hold up better than a ZT, but the finish won't last two strikes.

Are you the same guy who pops in every week or so to ask a question like "which knife would you choose to defend your life with and why?" What are you doing with this research? Both companies make damn strong knives, what do you intend to use them for?

Rotten apples

It's a love it or hate it thing I guess. I own customs and "semi-customs" and have plenty of ZT's, Emersons, and others.

However, the ones that tend to stay in my pocket are cold steels and benchmades. (and mostly cold steels)

You guys are free to hate on them though

A cold steel tomahwak, katana, shovel, axe or kukri will always be stronger than any ZT's. It like comparing apples to cactus'.

ZT Folders Are Stronger Than Cold Steel Folders
Cold Steel Fixed Blades Are Probably Stronger Than ZT Folders.
ZT Fixed Blades Are Stronger Than Cold Steels Folders And Fixed Blades.

So Overall - ZT...
