In the absence of a Busse Kin folder, what do you guys pack for a pocket knife?

Main knife I carry is a Severtech which knocked SR-1 out of my pocket which knocked a Sebenza out of my pocket which knocked a Burchtree Chop Suey out of my pocket.

I carry a Spyderco Manix. It's a big knife that doesn't feel clunky, something that I can't say for Strider or ZT. The handle is very well designed, fitting my big hands nicely, while the big, flat grind blade is strong and sharp enough for my EDC needs. I've been carrying it for 5+ years, and find that it "carries a lot lighter" for lack of a better term than it looks/feels.

Yes. PA, is a right to carry state. Can also open carry w/o permit under certain conditions.

I do around the house but I never understood people that do so in public. Plus I've never seen anything specifically written into the law that says it's legal.

Spyderco and SRKW Rat Trap are the only production tactical folders I carry.

I usually have one or more pocket knives on me as well, everything from a Case Peanut to a high end custom from someone like Bailey Bradshaw, Joel Chamblin, Rick Menefee, etc. I love them all.

I have a Strider PT in my rotation, and it is a great knife. My favorite, however, is my Yuna EQ-1:

Yun did a great job on this for me, and I use it almost daily.

That is a beautiful knife, I would love to see a shot of that with your 1911. Im picturing a classy match :)

That Yuna EQ-1 and the EQ-2 are the bomb - dang they is purdy !!

Yeah so what do you carry 1911?

To be honest, I don't carry in public. I don't feel I've had enough training to consider it, and range/training options are somewhat limited around here. Not really a high crime area where I am either.
My main experience with pistols is my grandfather's WWII service 1911, the Colt Commander, the Glock 19 and the S&W 544 (Texas Commemorative). The revolver is a real pleasure to shoot now that it has some Hogue grips on it, but the 1911 and the Glock are what I shoot best.

I carry a Spyderco Endura in uniform and either a ZT 0350 or a small Sebenza when not working.

Small Sebenza 21; I am very happy with it and I have it on my pocket every day.

Ever since I came across Great Eastern Cutlery I have been carrying some variation from them.

There is something about an unobtrusive pocket design that is light and packs plenty of blade length for EDC use.

1095 and now O-1 with a very good heat treat. I love cutters and these are that. Plus the price tags will seem like your buying a coke vs a Busse fixed blade.

I used to be a Sebenza EDC guy

I still feel the same about the Sebenza. The design is what draws me to it. I just find I can get away with the lighter, more efficient pocket friendly GEC's.

I have also been rocking traditional slip joint folders. GEC made Scharade Pioneer large and small (two bladed). GEC yellow rose.

Just picked up a handful of different traditionals for christmas. Two large barlow's. One small Barlow (GEC) one Sunfish (GEC), a Canoe/gunboat pattern, and a sod buster pattern (AG Russell).

Just something fun to carry. No bravado, no tactical nonsense. Just fun to carry traditionals that can slice and cut stuff with ease.

I have no "high edc tacticals" I have two Recon 1's (older and new triad lock). Also have a few others. They don't get carried as much anymore. I have had an opportunity to carry and use a hinderer and a Sabenza.

But now I go all traditional, because it is totally NINJA!

Im with you Bigfattyt, traditionals are a lot of fun to carry and use. They have a charm and character to them that gets better over time.

I carried a ZT301 for about a year and wish I still had it (sold it to buy the wife a Kindle) . However, I gave the Cold Steel Mini AK a try ( mainly because of all the positive things I read about the lock) and absolutely love it. Its a work horse and the ergos are great IMO. I know... It's not a high end folder but I have been very impressed with its performance and at a great price (was actually given to me by a fellow HOG). BTW - You guys have great tastes in folders.

Tyrkon!

Long time no post. :(

We missed you, man. Maybe stick around?
