In the deep woods of Kentucky

Great pics , Mammoth cave is beautiful country looks like you had a great time.

Great pics buddy, looks like a blast !

The Tiger Lilies and Ground cones would have gone down nicely with all that fish eh !

I lived in Lexington for three years and explored that area as well as the Red River Gorge. Beautiful pics. What camera/lenses did you use? Did you have a car where you exited the river to drive you back or did you just portage? :D

Excellent pictures. We have a couple caves in my area, but nothing to that extent. I am going to have to get down there some time.
Was that a bear skull?

There is so much awesomeness in this thread!! Outstanding pics!

How long were you out for?

Anyone down for a last minute overnight hiking trip to Red River Gorge? Best weather of the season, might as well take advantage!! Planning on going down ASAP and coming back tomorrow.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. What snakes are those? Is the speckled one a copperhead?

Wonderful pictures of a beautiful place. I live in Hopkins County, heart of the Western Ky. coalfield. I could get lost(on purpose) in a setting like that. Closest place around here that looks like that is Pilot Rock. Once again, wonderful pictures.
