In your opinion what is the best EDC folder for under $100?

Cutting performance/wear resistance Stretch or Delica ZDP-189, pure steel quality Elmax Blur, pure toughness American Lawman, toughness/wear resistance H&K 14715, Manix 2 or Buck Marksman, best pure value for materials used probably the Kizer 4403.

For a dressy office edc knife my preference would be the Enzo Birk. A beautiful looking knife with great fit and finish, good materials, and all under $100.

So many choices. Of course, a careful shopper could get a Para 2 for a little over $100. That's always a contender.

The Cold Steel Recon 1 is brutally tough. I'm not really into dressy knives, I want something that can be run over by a train and still be good to go. Also Benchmade 555!

It's definitely a Spyderco, but we can argue about which one. ZDP Endura, or S110V Manix 2 (I might have blown the budget by about $1 on the second option).

I left the S110V Manix out since I haven't actually seen it for under $100. If we can stretch the budget a bit, it would be top of my list without question.

for well under 100, im gonna suggest the Avispa. I already own a couple Zancudos, and im happy with them, but I really like the larger blade/bigger handle the Avispa has. slim, decent enough steel, and all the ones ive handled/own are well made. just my .02

Until i got my ZT, my preference was my Elmax Blur (as mentioned before). Premium steel, great build quality....

I'll second the CS Recon 1; tough, dependable, and easy to maintain in the field.

For the ultimate in elegant and tough preparedness, a SAK Pioneer.

My vote too. I use an Alox Soldier, but same knife really, just no lanyard ring or engraving flat. Soldier uses the military cross, and Pioneer uses the civil service cross, other than that, same knife. Few people would have need of another knife.

Agree with some of above; G10 Manix2, Elmax Blur, or ZDP-189 Endura/Delica depending on if you want something solidly built with a strong lock, cool speedy opening with great steel, or lightweight and slicey with a different great steel.

Another vote for the Cold Steel Recon 1. As far as toughness and durability in the price range you can't do much better. Yeah, it has AUS8 but it's still a great knife. With three different blade shapes to choose from it can satisfy different preference, not to mention the different sizes

I would say under 100$, the elmax blur is tuff to beat. I love mine, I actually traded a pm2 for it and haven't been disappointed.

Manix 2 or the Recon 1.
For everyday edc I'd go with the Manix 2 but the Recon 1 is a bit larger and much tougher -- depends on how you plan to use the knife. I ended up with both so I would always be prepared

Just got a Cold Steel Code-4 and I am loving it. Big but very slim and feels great in hand. Triad lock too which is fantastic.
