The Olympic Games will soon be upon us, so let's have a contest on this wonderful Independence Day.

Up for grabs is a Damascus Leek, Damascus Scallion, or Damascus Chive (your choice)!!!

Rules:
*You have to have already posted at least 10 times in the Kershaw Sub-Forum (prior to me posting this contest)
*No Internationals
*1 guess, and one guess only
*Don't screw up, and don't pick the same time as the poster in front of you.
*You have to have your guess in prior to the starting gun.
*Anyone breaking one or more of the rules gets a dose of "family" hazing.

Contest:
The Olympic Trials for Track & Field have been taking place in Eugene for the last week or so. The finals for the Men's 1500 meters is the last event Sunday night. The closest guess to the winning time without going over will be our champion.

Gotta do a little homework on this one folks.

Follow your guess with a Kershaw dream of yours. If you forget this part, you're eliminated from the contest.

Good luck kiddies, and Happy 4th!!!

Thanks for the contest Thomas:thumbup:

My guess is 3:42.64

My Kershaw dream knife is a Ken Onion custom(any one of his designs will work)

I hope that's what you meant by "Kershaw Dream"

Thanks for the contest Thomas. These damascus knives are really nice. Looking at the leek myself.

My time is 3.41.42

My kershaw dream is to own the Shun Chef's Knife.

If you want input on a model I would like to see, I would like to see a Shallot in M-2 steel or some kind of high carbon steel.

Hopefully I have more than 10 posts here but it would be a good idea to check since I lurk more than post around these parts.

sweet cool contest

3:42:34

More Ti Framelocks with exotic blades ZDP, SG3, Comp.

I'd love to see a High End RAM Ti handle comp. blade

3:41:95

The kershaw of my dreams right now would be a Skylinewith Ti handles, framelock, and ZDP-189 blade.

Thanks for the contest Thomas!!

woohoo, I think I have more than 10 posts.

time:3:39.98

Dream: Spec in CF, polished D2 blade, and tip up carry

Thank you Thomas!

My guess for the winning time for the Men's 1500 meter finals is 3:33.28.

My dream would be for the Random Task to be reintroduced with a size to accommodate a blade length closer to 4".

BTW, thanks for the opportunity to win a nice knife, Thomas.

If we're supposed to dream about a Kershaw already in production, it'd be a Tyrade. If we have to dream up our own concoction, it'd have to be a damascus RAM with some sort of wooden inlays like Quince or Cocobolo.

Let's try 3:40.00

Dream Kershaw is the Folding Field 1050. Love to hunt, but can't swing the cost.

Thanks, Thomas.

I'd like to see a mini ZT0200...(I guess that qualifies as a Kershaw?).

3:40.97

Kershaw Dream: Either my pick of 3 of the knives in your desk GG, or a Blur, hot torsion bar, dark grey scales with black G10 inserts, black clip, and a flat ground DLC coated full ZDP blade with a .015 edge grind!

Thanks for the contest GG and have a Happy 4th!

Full carbon fiber handle (smooth, not scaled) Leek with polished carrying clip, vg-10 blade, titanium liners, and jeweled back spacer.

3:36.90, Leek

Since one of my favorite knives around is the ZT 0121, I dream of this in a polished finish with mammoth scales.

I'll guess 3:39.50

My dream kershaw would be Ti/zdp mini cyclone with OD green handle with black g-10 inserts on the non clip side and a black blade.
Thanks for the contest!

Okay, how bout 3:41.50

My Kershaw dream? Mmmmmm....KER-SHAW.
I really need to see more carbon fiber, I mean that, seriously. It's not just some mild desire, it's more like a SERIOUS need. If I don't start seeing some soon.........um, I don't what:o Anyway, how bout a Blur in some crazy steel, like BG-42, or with a CPM-D2 composite blade and a, yes you guessed it, carbon fiber handle. THAT, is my kershaw dream.

Thanks GG!!

ill guess 3:38.23
and a kershaw dream of mine is a sprint run of production knives based around the RAM using TI and ZDP but using variations on scale design using exotic woods and corals and jigged bone. would be a beautiful line of knives
