In honor of those who, like my wife, have served or are serving the US in the military, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our ideals, I'd like to do a GAW for our current and past military service members, who have a shipping address within the continental US at which to receive your prize.

All you have to do to enter is post up your branch of service and role (past or present), and a photo of something patriotic that has personal meaning to you. Your post number will be your entry. I'll use random.org to choose the winner.

I'll pick a winner this weekend, and that person will receive a free custom fixed blade, made by yours truly, whenever my current shipment gets back from Peters HT and I can finish a blade up. Or, if you want something specific, let me know, although that will put receipt of your knife out a few months. If you're overseas, don't have someone in the US who would be willing to receive the knife for you, and you're willing to pay for shipping, feel free to enter as well. I'm just not in a position to ship overseas for free right now :(

Thanks for your service, and happy Independence Day.

Awesome idea! I was in the USAF from '75-'95. I was an electronics tech who worked himself into computer networking as it evolved.

at 17 on my birthday they called me up at 4:00am and ask me if I wanted to join the army. I told them some things and never to call me again. a month later I was on a plain going to basic training for the reserves. I lasted 1 year. the only way I could get out of it is to go regular army. I really enjoyed Germany. It was a blast. I was a 76Y and then I was a 45E. and I have never looked back too. 1981- 1982/1982-1985

To this day, any time that I see a B52, it still puts a big smile on my face....

I guess you could say that this pic is patriotic......some good ol', shock and awe, American firepower.

These pics was taken in 2007, Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Retiree Ball. It was great to see familiar faces and we were especially honored to meet and chat with some "China Marines". The 4 Marines in the middle of the bottom pic served in the 4th Regiment to protect American lives during the turmoil of Chiang Kai-shek's National forces and the Communists.

Very kind of you, Thank You for the opportunity and Thank You to all who've served.

-US Navy 1979 - 2003, Radioman turned Information Systems Technician.

I was issued this Camillus at the age of 17 and I still have that knife to this day. It's accompanied me throught my 24 year career and has sailed in many oceans, been to numerous countries and criss-crossed from coast to coast on multiple occasions.

The Tin Can that I reported to in 1979.

What makes this so personal to me is that the Camillus was my 1st knife, the Colt pistol is a replica of the 1st firearm I ever shot and the Destroyer was my 1st ship. Those 3 items, as common as they may appear, were the building blocks of who I am today.:)
