I was orginizing the new jump bag my work gave me, which BTW was awesome, they gave me the keys to supply, and told me go nuts:D

I decided to make up an individual FAK to stow in my backpacking pack, an Osprey Epic, and this is what I came up with.

ROCK6 sent me a small dry box in with a bunch of other stuff, so I was thinking I would use it to make this. It fits perfect inside this molle pouch I had laying around. I got one of them tube vaults from mymindisamob in the stuff he sent along....Thanks again guys.

6- 4x4 sterile dressings
1- roll of coban
1- vasaline gauze
1- roll of kerlex
1- tube of chapstick
1- flat of bennadryl
1- tube vault filled up with excedrin, nd wrapped in 1/2 roll of cloth medical
tape
various alchohol preps and iodine preps
1- scalpel blade(not pictured)

I chose excedrin because I sometimes get horrible migrains, and its the only thing that wipes em out, and the combo of asa, tylenol, and caffiene ive found to be a great pain med for my personal needs.

All this is stowed in the small dry box, with the exception of the tube vault and shears which go in the molle pouch with the box.

I placed a small strip of 100mph tape on both sides of thebox, on one side it has the cross, a well reconized symbol for first aid, and on the other side I wrote my name, allergies(none), and blood type, in case somebody finds me and needs to use the kit on me, they have pertinant info....

What do ya think?

Lets see your individual FAKs:thumbup:

It maybe to much for some or not enough for others but for me I carry the
Adventure Medical Kit Light & Fast Adventurer with a few personal items and or extras.

Thats an awesome kit Tony. Good for group size adventures.

You pack that one in your pack for solos too?

Nice kit man. Got the basics well covered. Do you guys carry quickclot yet? I know we don't and our EMS system has no plans to, but from what I've read that stuff rocks for something like your kit.

Glad you didn't let getting your stuff stolen dampen your enthusiasm!

Bennadryl
325 Aleve (prescription)
850 Mortin (Prescription)
chapstick
suture kit
Olfa SS razor knife"silver"
tube of neosporin
tube of bug bite cream
mini bic
I think that is all ?

Great additions!

Shore08- nope, we dont carry it on the trucks, but I know alot of cops who pack the stuff for GSWs. I have some in my jumpbag, but its there for backup for things a tournequet or pressure dressing wont work on. It is awesome stuff, I was introduced to the stuff in the Army.

I think I can tackle whatever injuries to myself with my kit. Now for th group thing, I would pack my jump kit. It has enough supplies to deal with 6 people pretty darn good. This kit is meant to be a minimalistic bare bones personal FAK.

Man I am terrible with this kind of stuff. I have an AMK, no idea which one. The only extras I have added was advil and Benadryl.:o

Nice, thats the same pouch my setup is in. I use to have 3 of those pouches 2 ranger green, and one coyote. 1 got stolen with my stuff, and I sent the other one to someone as a freebie in a trade we made, and the last of them is what this kit is in.

My kit is, for me, pretty small. It all fits in a small Pelican box. When traveling with a group I triple the amounts of the bandages.

4" cling wrap
1" cling wrap

Triple Antibiotic ointment

Just FYI, guys, Tylenol PM is the same exact medicine you get when you buy Benadryl (25 mg Diphenhydramine HCL) with 500 mg of Tylenol added. You might want an NSAID like Tylenol if you're treating a histamine reaction, so it's not bad idea. Plus, Tylenol PM is about half the price of Benadryl.

Might I add, it seems you're in a civil service job that could end up getting 'hot' as it were, that a couple maxipads are good to have around for trauma pads. I know it sounds weird but a lot of Corpsmen swear by them.

Look great JW! I'll need to pull out my FAK's...mini-to maxi- plus I could pull and show what's in the overpriced military IFAK:D...may be a couple weeks...uncle sugar is getting his tax-payer's money out of me this fall:grumpy:
