Anyone interested in an INFI machete? Not a beast like the infamous "Chuckete". I have really been impressed with some Martindale models as of late. I'd love to see how INFI performs in a machete.:thumbup:

I am actually a little surprised that one has not come out yet. It seems like a natural camp accessory. :D

Now I have a B11 which is kind of close - but 20 inches or so in length would be cool and I agree something around .18 or so would be prefect

I think the Janitor needs to get out into the woods an test out some protos - and take the girls with him :)))

I've been asking for a ScrapYard version. 18" blade of 1/8" S7, with a ResC handle.

The machete has been the most versatile outdoors tool I have used so far. I baton, chop, make shavings, strip bark, etc... with mine and they aren't even INFI. Piggyback a small GW or similar to it and you are pretty much covered. :D

That would be super cool. Even though the price would be higher than a regular work machete like a Tram it would be the last machete you'd need to buy.

I'm off to destroy some vegetation in my new yard with my new Martindale Bolo Cleaver Machete.

All the while wondering, "What if this were made of INFI?"

And it would be a darn sight cheaper than an INFI machete.

The problem with an extension of the Basic series is that those are too thick to be a real machete. A thin blade, but wide for weight and strength, is what makes a machete work. That's why the various Bussekin swords, while useful, are not ideal in the role of a machete.

I chopped a lot with it earlier today. It is an excellent chopper with its forward weight. Excellent tapper from handle to tip. But still...if only it was in INFI. :(

it would be great if Busse combined a machete type design with a competition cutter .. i find a10" blade more than sufficient to clear brush which is not Zombified :)
