Apparently the OP can't let go of the fact that his almost 4lb Khuk is ot going to beat a MOAB in a chop off no matter how much of a better deal it is.
I find United Cutlery's marketing pretty impressive.
I once saw a ninja slay upwards of 40 soda bottles in some backwoods hollar. After that, it was the proverbial SU&TMM!!

I bet a Busse can cut that watermelon way better than that fat guy, right?
I Think, guys,it hurt your feelings way too much,in what was said in other thread discussion and i am most certainly not the one who lost all arguments there.I made a very clear and valid point....
All i have done "wrong" according you was, that i had enough balls to pointed out and also prove the fact, that there are also other knifemakers out there, that can match or even exceed any Busse product in any contest.....
Those, who are not close minded, will understand, those blindfolded fanboys ("armed to the teeth, seeking wichhunt")who do not,i couldn'nt care less....After all,it is my opinion, which you guys only reinforced as you kept pulling some nonsense arguments, because there was not much, you could say....
Please, read again, what was the original topic of that thread you have on your mind....
This thread is about marketing through inflated prices to these sort of guys, who may feel, price dictate quality.....

Since the OP has now clarified that he IS talking about Busse knives, my comment is that if they were overpriced for the performance they deliver, they would not be popular here on BF.
I don't have much use for a large chopping knife, so I don't own any Busse knives.

As far as Busse knives go - I don't know the type intimately so I can't say anything with authority. Your complaint seems to be "INFLATED KNIFE PRICE MARKETING" with regards to Busse. But the price point they're setting for their knives seems to be pretty comparable compared to other knives on the market. Look for fixed blades in CPM 3-V as an example. Demko, for instance makes a 9'' fixed blade with .20'' stock that he sells for around $400. Cold Steel makes a 9'' tanto with .20'' stock for $375. Comparatively, a TGLB is 13'' with .25'' stock and it's $390. If 3-V is comparable to INFI, which by user reports it seems to be, then the knife is priced just about right and might even be the better buy in some instances. INFI might be hyped up but even if the steel isn't all that it's cracked up to be, the prices don't seem unfair for what you get.
along with multiplying price to 650 USD for the very same knife
