Info on an Extreme Ratio BF1 please

Thanks for the pics, untamed. WOW that knife looks really thin! I like it a lot.

For that price I won't be buying one new, but I'll look out for one gently used so I can try it out.

Myright:

No probs, glad I could help! Yep, like I said, very EDC-able because of the thinness, but it is all steel in construction.

UPDATE:

I just got my BF-1 in today. I figured since I was going for a small folder, I'd get the smallest, not the slightly larger BF-2. Besides, the ad I got was for under $150 with shipping. :) I got the drop point with the traditional handle, looks sort of like a mini Nemesis with the rectangular indent on the handle, but this one only fits one finger.

Can't tell you anything about performance. I mean, it arrived about an hour ago! But this baby is built. Fit and finish is superb. (From Latin superbus, proud, overbearing, or arrogant  ) The lockup is rock solid, in fact too tight. I have to loosen that pivot, which only needs a flathead driver. It seems smooth otherwise, so I'll hold off on lubing it for now.

The cutting edge on this one is just under 3" which is nice, what I was looking for, a compact and unobtrusive utility folder. It's in a size class with the small Sebenza and Kershaw Leek, the standard 3" blade in a 4" handle. The handle itself is a durable aluminum with a single liner that makes the lock. Overall weight feels identical to my G-10 Leek. In other words, quite light, even handle heavy. The blade is easy to control.

Pocket clip is like the SOG but a more elegant design, attaches to one side, folding over the back, and clips on the other. Easy to switch sides: 3 torx screws. Clip tension on mine is perfect; firm but not so tight it wears or hurts a fingertip to pull open.

I've handled the BF2 folders and I assume that they can be compared with the BF1. The lockup is OK with a secondary locking mechanism making them very solid knives. The edge finish is not perfect but N690 steel is easy to sharpen. I noticed minor blade play as well but that also can be adjusted. I've yet to purchase the RAO (heard many good things about that folder), but based on my experience, I'd go for a fixed one such as Shrapnel OG, Col Moshin, Venom or the new Dobermann. They are among the best production knives available.
