Info. on premiumknives.com?

I just found premiumknives.com online, and I was wondering if anyone had dealt with them before, and if so how the sale went. Any info is appreciated.

I haven't dealt with them but there could be some comfort derived from their website. Meaning a fair amount of time and effort has been spent on it, the 'feel' is good, and so on.

BUT their prices aren't very competitive, at all. I took a quick run through on the Benchmade line, which I know pretty well. The prices were considerably higher than you'd pay at places like New Graham, 1SKS (our beloved leader here 'Spark' owns/runs that one), KnifeWorks and so on. Say a knife they are asking near enough to $150 for, which those places will sell you for near enough to $100. Exactly the same knife, and the service etc of each of those I've referred to is excellent.

So I think you'd be better off with one of those, frankly.

Thanks for the opinions guys, but I suppose I should have been more specific. I was mostly interested in them for straight razors, and they seem to have a nice selection. I've just never heard a thing about them here on the forums, which isn't exactly worrying, but it's sort of unusual since there are so many people here. I do agree with you about the prices though, I noticed that as well, but the other reccomendations don't carry straight razors either, so my options are sort of limited. I have seen straight razors before at knifecenter.com, but other than that I haven't been able to find others.

I have been pretty happy with PremiumKnives.com (better than other buying experiences I have had onliine) other than they were a little higher priced that is... until yesterday.

Yesterday, I was searching around for a new sword and was blown away at thier low pricing - I thought it might have been a mistake. In fact I became a member of BF to see if anyone else had any info on it. Premium Knives is a big player in the knife industry and it looks like they are taking the gloves off for a real price war with everyone which is great for me I just bought a new Cold Steel Katana today.

Please post anything you have heard.
