Spark,

Is it possible to set the [Can See Others' Infraction Level] to YES for all (paying) users.

IMO, it would be interesting because:
1. One can see that negative behaviour is being dealt with.
2. One can see SPAM has been reported.
3. A public red card / yellow card could reduce negative behaviour.

Good idea. Thank you for the suggestion. All members that are registered now can see infraction levels.

Check this thread for example:

and lookout for
redcard.gif
, If you click on it, you will see why they got an infraction.

if it's yellow
yellowcard.gif
, they just received a warning.

Reffed by card. :D

In soccer, two yellow cards in the same game is equal to a red card. A red card can be given at any time without the player first receiving a yellow card. When a player gets a red card, they must leave the game and their team must play short. An ejected player cannot be replaced. Do the same rules apply here ? :p :D

Dang it gig, you don't expect me to be able to figure out that gibberish ... do ya. :p

No. Also, if you flop down and pretend to be injured every time someone comes near you, you will not get any sympathy here. We're mean.

And here I thought Infractions were many-armed, many-legged beasties.

Those little chiclet-ie things are kind of cute.

You know, we could have green cards here for those of us who have never been dinged. :D

Unless you can claim political asylum because of persecution back where you came from....

The New Colossus

like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

In May, I picked up a no-point infraction from Eric Isaacson for 'failure to follow specific forum rules'.

I followed a link from Pirates Cove to where Ren the Devil's Trailboss was selling a knife. I made what I thought was an amusing comment, but didn't know chit chat in the sales forum was forbidden, in fact I didn't even realise I was in a for sale forum. I admitted I did wrong, apologised to Eric and deleted the posting. Can the infraction be removed from my User Profile please?

It was not an infraction to start with, only a warning, and it has also expired. The expiration didn't make it less than zero ... but the system doesn't allow for negative numbers....

Thanks Cougar, but it does says it is an infraction. As an 'old geezer', it just upsets me every time I go to my Control Panel and I see it. I wonder if it could be erased so I don't see it?

I can see where you're coming from. However ...

1) You are in the same position as a great many other people who also did not know they were breaking a rule and therefore got a warning so they would know in the future. (The yellow indicates it was only a warning -- also the zero points.)

2) Spark is the only one who can reverse them. If he were to reverse all the warnings that perfectly innocent people like you got that would take up quite a bit of his time.

3) It would also make it impossible for the moderators to know who has gotten a warning in the past and therefore can be presumed to know what he's doing if he does the same thing again.

4) If I recall correctly, when Spark does reverse an infraction it still shows, it just adds to the record another entry saying it was reversed, and it still doesn't say any less than zero points. Come to think of it, that would invalidate point 3 above, wouldn't it....

OK Cougar.

Thanks for the reply and explanation. I just wondered if it had expired, and it was a minor 'no pointer', it could 'vanish'. No problem, I'll have to live with it.
