I use both the 440C and CPM-154 which is a later powder metal steel with a few other small improvements.

Buy a length or two of the 440C first since you may F&9Up s few of your first ones then give the CPM-154 a try.

Also I would add in the Medium Scotchbrite belt to your order.
 
Thanks Laurance, I will take your advice. I am a big fan of your Rhino Chop. I spent most of my like in Alaska and am very familiar with, and own, an ulu. The way you have melded the function of the ulu with a cleaver is pure genius in my opinion.
