I DONT AGREE SACKING ALL BURAS HELPERS

its just not fair to sack all just cos you cant find the one culprit

bura is supposed to oversee the work and make sure its done properly, he should have been punished for being slack.

his helpers should have been made to own up as to who the guilty one was, and then he alone should have been sacked.

I FOR ONE WILL NO LONGER BUY HI PRODUCTS AGAIN AS THIS DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT TO ME.

EVERY TIME I LOOK AT MY KHUKS NOW I WILL THINK OF THE INJUSTICE DONE BY BIGHORKA.

a pity pala and bill think this is ok to sack the innocent along with the guilty .

I say this with all due respect: The greatest injustice that I see is in your allegations toward Mr. Martino. It is obvious from his posts that he did a great deal of soul searching before acting to resolve the problem. He also stated that that he made every possible effort to find the individual that was responsible.
The responsibility for difficult decisions is one of the burdens of management. I believe Mr. Martino acted as fairly as could be expected. If you are willing to offer the sort of warranty that HI does quality control at the production end is MANDATORY.
This is,of course, only my opinion.
 
Some of us thought the action harsh. You're the only one I know who has made his belief system for someone else's business decisive.

I suggest you buy no more Fords, Dells, AR's, Polks, etc etc. Because many worse things happen every day.
Mostly, your post is just another sanctimonius grandstand. How's the weather up there with the Gods on Mt. Olympus?
Why stop at not buying any more? How about not using the ones you have, or better still, selling, giving away, or in the ultimate act of your highest morality- destroy them ala those who burned Beatles records?

Please don't saddle yourself with these corrupt tools of Capitalism.

Calm down boys, just use the ignore list and don't feed the trolls. Bill's a big boy and can take care of himself. No need to rally the troops. :) Hell, it's just Kraken.

What a load...in another country it would have been the loss of a hand for such a crime against your benefactor. With another company, it would have been tough crap, your bad luck with the nail job. With another man, there would have been no soul searching and no concern for the kamis.

Apprentices *know* that they must prove themselves and each individual *knew* that one of them did it. The apprentices themselves should have come up with the guilty party...

I'd have beaten the hell out of each of the others until I found the right one if I were *graced* to have been granted such a sweet deal as Birgorkha offers.

Oh well...your choice leaves more Khukris for me...Thanks!
 
This is just an off-hand observation by me, but haven't all the recent Burafan/John Cade appearances had that same avatar of a dancing mammal (skunk?)?

So what would be fair? To allow the company's product value in the eyes of the world fall to the level of the tourist kuk's?

Hell I would think that it would be a hard thing to do, but the helpers, like the untermensch of the world often don't' act in their own best interest, and all they need is someone coming around tell them how they were oppressed.

If they new about a co-worker cheating and didn't report it, they deserved to be fired. If they willing did anything to hurt the company they deserve to be fired. I don't know the total count of employees in HI, don't' care. I have about 250 right now that work for me and if I caught them doing something like this I'd fire them.

If I knew that they allowed something like this to happen. I'd fire them right there.

I know someone is going to say that "you can't fire someone for that". You are right. Here in the states you likely would have to pay unemployment unless you stated that they were fired for endangering someones safety, or for destruction of company property, or my favorite defacing or devaluing company assets or products.

Remember this is a business, not a union rec room.

I'm shutting up now, but one last thing,

You can't do, never do, nothings. IF you can do better go to it. I'll be waiting for Kraken Kuhkri's website. Bah!
 
Yeah, but this is Kraken-up/aka Kraken/aka Kendo, banned as Kendo but later restored to the forum. Shows in his posting addresses: his IP and Host. They are consistent. He ain't John Cade/Burafan.

As to my personal opinion, I regret what was done. However, I do know that I am not qualified to be judgemental as to what is right and wrong given the particular culture over there.

Pala, Gelbu, etc., have come up with this and informed UB. They may well have asked his opinion and he was unable to suggest something better. My experience with them is that they live their beliefs. I can say no less of Pala, Bill and Yangdu than that Pala told me I was already a Buddhist, and thereby managed to start me on the road to trying to live as one.
 
Speaking of spirituality. There's no such thing as perfection. Most of the people we called saints could be assh*les at times. A lof of the artists and sports figures we admire have bad qualities too.

When you judge something you have to look at the whole thing, not just isolated incidents. Overall the HI thing is good. However if someone doesn't think it is and doesn't want to support it it is their right.
 
So this is Kendo? And it was Badger before with the skunk? That skunk emblem has been chosen by some real losers; no offense to fine, outstanding individuals who own the Skunk, love the Skunk, swear by the Skunk and live by the Skunk.

The symbol is that of a badger, not a skunk (Try "saving" it). But, hey, call it anything that floats your boat. (If you call it a gopher, you'll get nasty calls from Wisconsin AND Minnesota. :D )
 
Okey Doke- I sure as heck trust your memory and fact checking more than mine- I'm not kidding, either!!

ONe thing I've noticed, and I'm curious if you agree, Tom, is that Trolls have similar personalities. Their posts are in a vein, if you know what I mean.

I realize there are differences between a kendo and a BF, but they are not as great as the similarities. It's as if they are members of the same family tree.

I completely disagree with you, Ken. It was not an easy decision, but it was the proper one.
