Any of you guys on Instagram? I've been following folks for a while on there but started posting some stuff a couple weeks ago.

You won't get a bunch of "what did I eat today" pics from me (unless there's a Fiddleback involved in the eating), but will get some knives, gear, bushcraft and camping stuff.

I am - I started following you yesterday. Boomdad_7 is my name on instagram.
You will see the family and friends or birthday shout outs or other stuff I find interesting. I will be adding knife pics to my account as well.

IF you sell knives, collect knives or just like looking at pictures of knives you need to get on Instagram. There are a ton of knife knuts on there. It is my favorite social media outlet for knives.

Please give me some hints as to hash tags I should use behing my post.
 
I am pretty new to instagram, so this is just a noob's first impression.

There are hashtag statistical sights, many subscription based some free, that will tell you the popularity of a hashtag. You can also search in the instagram app for hashtags and how often they are used. What I have been doing is simply looking at the photos in an area of interest and seeing what hashtags people are using and trying to string together (not too many) popular tags into some sort of logical story relevant for whatever picture I put up.

I think if you look at some of the other knife makers, vendors etc and see what they are doing you will get an idea of what tags to use.

I also believe you should create some unique to yourself and your business as you will have some follows that will get on board. For instance marketing: You create a hashtag, say #fiddlebackmailcall, and encourage people to post up pictures of their Friday or dealer scores when they arrive. There is this thing called the 1-2-3 rule or something like that for every picture posted you should comment on 2 other pictures and like 3 others. Get people doing that and it encourages more people commenting, posting and talking about your brand.

Knives with gun pics always get circulated more. Hashtags I like are #EDC #Everydaycarry #useyourshit #gunsandknives #usnstagram #bladeforum #knifeporn #customknives

My personal favorite that I hope is on all your pics going forward is #usamadeblade

Basically you can hashtag anything and someone will find it!

Oh I dont know if this is a good idea.
Today my wife asked me:"did you know fiddleback is on instagram and Andy likes one of my pictures"
Im like "uhum?" She goes "yeah you know the one of my pink knife"
Now I guess theres no privacy as to where my money goes, we have been compromised

So can we please keep fridays to ourselves? Like "what happens at fiddleback fridays stays at fiddleback fridays? Please?
