Got to playin a bit, wanted to make a sword along the lines of the one piece tactikool hawk I made, using a similar idea of

-one piece construction
-tough as heyul
-aesthetically pleasing

Here is what I have so far. Forged from some 5/16" thick 5160, the blade has a slight leaf shape. Let me know what you think

I like it overall, not to sure how I feel about the fold over handles though. BTW review cough

That's pretty dang cool. Will the handle be wrapped in something comfy like leather or cord?

thanks guys!

Burton, I used a 1/2" round spring fuller, then forged them in a kind of upsetting process from the end to close them up.

James, yeah I will wrap in leather strip, going for a more Conan look to it

you shoul dhave that one ground and finished some time next year right sam (i know how you like finishing knives and stuff )
looks coo tho

Thanks guys!

Ok I can see what you did now. I looked at the hot pic and didn't pay as much attention to the cool pic.

Yeah, I necked in with the dies for the handle part, then rounded the square pommel, then fullered in then crushed the fullered bit sort of.

Yeah Butch :D just in time for Maryland
