Integral sword, like you've not seen before

If you fly into Stewart that's only an hour away, you could get here, forge for an hour then be back in time :D

OK Sam, cut it out! You're just showing off now. ;-)

That is some nice work there!

Still anxiously awaiting final pics. I can't wait to see it. There are just so many cool elements to this.

I have hired an agent to await the rise of the lady of the lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, holding the sword aloft for me.

Greg, I hope you really trust that agent, or have him locked up somehow so he can't just take the sword. I'm an honest guy, but I'd be sorely tempted.

thanks guys!

Burton, I used a 1/2" round spring fuller, then forged them in a kind of upsetting process from the end to close them up.

James, yeah I will wrap in leather strip, going for a more Conan look to it

Funny, the first thing I thought when I saw it was: "CROM!" (even Arnold's voice was saying inside muh noggin!)

Interesting. Any chance we can talk you into a short video of the handle and post it on youtube? Pictures just aren't doing it for me. How deep did you split the metal before rounding over?

Chuck i'll try to get video soon.

Got the tip worked a bit and bevels started:

What are you guys talking about. Sam always finishes his pieces. That sword is done already, right Sam?!
