Interesting Buck 110 modification

I want to get this done now as my EDC knife is the 110. Let me know if you can do it Keensharp and how much it will cost.

Keensharp, in my humble opinion, and since you are a newbie, you need to be cautious in replies to these types of posts on the forum so that it does not appear to a moderator (Hi Joe, and others) that you may be solliciting business here since you are not registered as a seller/dealer. That is against blade forum rules/guidelines and could result in your being permanently banned from the site, and we would certainly hate to lose you. Your work is great!!

Especially because "muskratman" went down that road and his work was alot like yours ;) He got the boot :(....
(although there were "other" circumstances also)

I have to say those are some of the nicest mods i've seen!
Until recently i used to avoid knives with any brass hardware.
I've had two Western Bowies for decades and while i love them their brass guards seem to turn green over night.
That annoyance with brass kept me from buying a Buck 110 or any brass guarded/pommeled/bolstered knife for a looooong time.
But finally i bought a 110 back in early December and have been carrying it ever since (great knife!).
The 110 brass has developed a nice dull matte "patina" from the constant handling but i have yet to see any sign of the dreaded green.
I'm going to polish the 110 bolsters with "nevr dull" today just to see if i prefer the shine over the matte finish.
:)

yes, I intend to do this mod to a couple of my carry knives would make them lighter and more pocket friendly, the flat-bolstered 110's have a tendancy to wear holes in your pocket. Here is a 110 I drop pointed and beveled last night for a local guy and I went ahead and did my EDC too. It really takes the production look away from a 110 and gives it that custom look.

Ouch!! Primarily as a collector, I hate to see those great looking specimens, with their highly polished brass bolsters, lying on that hard old rough (i.e., scratchy) concrete!! ;)

Thank you everyone. I don't wish to step on any moderator toes. I am certainly not here for business just thought I'd share my mods with you nice folks. I'd hate to be banned from such a nice place. I like being able to share photos of what I do with others merely for enjoyment.
Take Care My Friends
