Like the title says.

Duluth pack has brought out an interesting new pack called the Bushcrafter

Some interesting features, like:
Duluth Pack site said:
Bushcrafter Pack features padded leather/canvas shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap, a removable waist belt, a unique 18” long axe sleeve, a drawstring closure for the main compartment, and a generous top flap with interior zippered map pocket that covers and stabilizes axe head when pack is in use. Three nylon webbing side compression straps with quick release buckles stabilize your load, while also making it possible to scale down or enlarge total capacity depending on season and space needs. In addition, pack includes two flapped front pockets and two specially designed folding saw (and extra blades) pockets with weep holes.

Cool thing is, it's also available in waxed canvas, which they didn't offer for a long time after some guys split from the company to start Frost River.
It ain't cheap though.

once i saw the price i didnt even look at the rest.....way outta my range. thanks for the info though!

Looks good, but the price puts them in Kifaru territory. They might be great packs, but at those prices very few people are likely going to give them a try in this economy because the bang for the buck is just not there

I agree - 350 is SO very expensive given the fact that I just bought a hell of a day pack that retails at well under half that.

I don't think the weight is worth it either.

Which is too bad - I wonder why it is so expensive. It certainly looks cool.

Nice...but wow...that price. Must be the official Bear Grylls version.

At least it is made in the US. You have to give them and Kifaru props for that  That seems hard to come by in a pack.

1.) Because it's not made by China Corp. (actually Vietnam Corp. for most backpacks)
2.) Because they make it to last (unlike China Corp.), and you'd probably never replace it.

As nice as it looks I could probably have something custom tailored for less than that price.

Have you actually looked into it? I seriously doubt it. Not when you are talking apples to apples in material anyhow.

For me, the price isn't that much of a put off. I mean geez, how many of you guys responding to price did so on a $1500 computer? How many of you replaced that computer in the last 2 years because well.....Actually you didn't even need to replace the computer did you? This pack will last you forever.

However, all that said, and a wonderful excuse to politely call y'all cheapskates :D, the pack doesn't look very comfortable. That is my gripe. I mean when compared to the modern day packs it is the suspension system - frame plus shoulder pads/waist belt. I just can't imagine strapping that thing on with an equivalent amount of weight to a modern pack and say - hmm this one is just so much more comfortable. I could be wrong. I'd have to try it to find out for sure.

Seems extremely high price for a canvass rucksack. It reminds me of surplus stuff from Europe. Straps do not look comfortable compared to modern designs.

My son builds computers, but he doesn't make Packs.:D

However, I am a cheapskate, thats all I can afford to be,:)
