well, the cat is out of the bag.

I'm kinda proud about how this one came out. I contacted Brian Andrews about some possible design ideas and here is one fruit of that labor. I'm becoming a designing fool. This encompasses many aspects of a few knives that I use often.

It has a slight drop point, like the enzo, and can be either a flat grind or Scandi. The protruding pommel is optional. And for all you fancy pants out there, he works with most woods including stabilized birch! I want to try one of those out and see how it goes! I was thinking a stabilized birch without the pommel would be the cat's meow.

That's a fine looking knife, buddy! Do I get a free one for being the first compliment? :p

I saw this one while browsing Brian's site yesterday, and I was really impressed. It looks like a perfect bushcraft knife. I'm particularly fond of the extra material on the handle (as compared to his bushcrafter).

Nice design, Joe, and terrific work Brian.

All the best,

- Mike

I like it buddy, nothing too radical but why change a proven design !!!!

You got it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Interesting note, My skookum bush tool doesn't have a spear point on it, I thought they were straight do other people have a slight drop on theirs? I like drop points and wanted to see that incorporated well onto this lil guy.

This is sweet! I see two of my favorite well known blades incorporated into one.

Looks nice. I like the less agressive contouring on the handle which sometimes is trouble for me, although Brian's knives do feel pretty good. I like the fact that you retained the continuous belly feature that was unique on his bushcrafter. I like the slightly wider blade that fits my aesthetic. I also like the subtle drop point.

Of course that last bushcrafter of his sold in a total of 7 minutes on the maker's for sale area last night. What are you hoping to do with this one - get down to a 5 minute sale?

I honestly have to say that I have not been this excited about a knife, since making my first one. And that was for a different reason.

I am SO in love with this thing!!!

This is a cool knife with clean lines.
Slight drop point and moderate contour are particularly attractive.

Nice job, both of you. Great, practical looking blade, and excellent execution from the looks of things. I like both stamps too. Very classy. Good work!
