Introducing Terrasaur by off the map custom knives

I like the lines on this one. I also like the subtle contouring of the handle

Any chances of a pic from the butt of the knife to get an idea how oval the handles are?

Kind regards
Mick

That's a great looking tool.

A couple questions:

What kind of sheath comes with it?
Are you going to make some with flat and convex blades in the near future? I'd love to see each of them.

Also, with the extralong wait for a Skookum, this one should be a big seller.

Right now, I have only made a simple fold over sheath for it. It was the first one, so I would tweak things on the next one.

But, I can make a few different sheath styles. I just haven't done a "traditional" looking one. I would love to see it in a BarberFobic style sheath :D

I plan on doing flat and convex versions as well.

You hit the nail on the head with that one, Joe.
You picked the right guy to materialize your concept too.
I have been turning the gears on how to obtain "#2".
I have been looking for this knife for years and didn't know it.
Great work - both of you.:thumbup:

Looking at it some more I'm noticing a few things that explain why the design rubs me the right way. The subtle drop point is nice in that it brings the point closer to center (where it's most controllable) but without sacrificing the belly of the blade (which you do the closer to center it's brought). That should make point work easier without detracting much from slicing ability and clearance with cutting mediums.

I like it a lot! Lately I've been favoring mostly straight handles, with just a tiny bit of contour, and this one looks perfect from that standpoint. You've got me intrigued with the flat and convex options, Brian. I can't wait to see those. Talk about making a hard decision harder...

I like it buddy, nothing too radical but why change a proven design !!!!

Not everyone can come up with the odd stuff you do Pit! The crazy thing about your designs - is that everyone loves them!

Concerning the knife at hand - I have one of Brian's Bushcrafters in the shop for a pair of pants (for Rock 6) and his quality is great. Great fit and finish - and the knife really performs well.

Will be ordering one of these shortly myself. Joe what steel you going with. I will get mine in Godzilla Green Canvas Micarta. :)

Hey Eric!

Just leave the picture on your desktop for an hour and see where it goes... ;P

Dammit - I'm just all confused of which of Brian's knives I want now! :(
