Introducing Terrasaur by off the map custom knives

Congrats on the new design Joe, good looking little bushcrafter, I like the extended tang, it comes in handy.

A question for either Joe or Brian.

Although its hard to tell from a single butt picture :D, it looks like the handle is squared off at the top and bottom. Is there a reason for this design feature on a Bushcraft knife?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Mick

I haven't seen it in person yet, but if it is, then you can use it to hit a ferro rod with impressive accuracy straight into a tinder bundle without having the shavings fly. Also works well for scraping magnesium. The Shango Notch.

Pics as promised!! This is Joe's Terrasaur:

Its outline is pretty close to his original drawing. The handle is Osage over Walnut. Its got a Scandi grind and an exposed tang. The knife is 9" long with 4.75" being handle, and roughly 4.125" cutting edge. I love when Osage has little twig knots, and this one has two.

Whatcha say Joe?

So Brian Andrews is toning down the number of knives he will be making. I got andy over at fiddleback to make a version, and I reckon he likes it too! CHeck out what Andy made
WOWIE!!

It is hot Joe. Nice and simple design - REALLY well executed.

I am glad you are getting this done again - it is a great design. Are you going to put the Hello Kitty on this one too?

Joe, great design and nice execution by two of our Makers! I'm jealous and probably penniless soon!

Great design Joe and great execution by both Andy and Brian.

I think it is pretty cool to see two different maker's twists on the same design!

I still can't get over how nice the handle looks. He really took it down town with this one. Fiddleback shall become FIDDLEMASTER!!!!

Absolutely....and that could give a neat idea for a contest!

That is a sweet looking knife. I see much success with that design. Nice work there guys.
