Yeah the top guard could be ground down but the handle profile has changed as well.


I love the handel profile on my RMD, very comfortable to handle with or without gloves on.

I was thinking about this and it got me wondering. My friend has an HRLM in tanker grey, which doesn't have the same finish as the other coatings, its smoother. On that knife I don't get the same purchase for my thumb as on my black RMD. With the satin finish the upper guard may be necessary to get a secure grip with your thumb. I won't know till i get mine though.

Excruciatingly tempting!!

I really like it, especially since recieving my RMD. However I'm wondering if a new large model is around the corner.
 
I have absolutely no need for a blade like this... yet I had to send an email for one.. there's just something about it... top guard needs to be ground off.. but otherwise.. the satin blade, convex grind, and black handles are just BEAUTIFUL.
 
The RMD was my first Swamp Rat knife. The size of the knives is what drew me to them. The RMD is a nice blade, don't get me wrong, but I'll wait till the big boys come out before I buy again.
 
I odered one, looks like an interesting blade.
How quick will this stuff rust?

The top guard is sort of reminiscent of Randall's to me. If I end up not liking it it's can be removed.
 
I keep coming back to look at this. I just got a RMD and have a HRLM on the way..... this would round things off nicely. But I dunno..... do I really need another knife??? :confused:

I would love to see the ORIGINAL RMD satin and black paper.

I was very excited when I clicked the link but was very shocked at that crazy looking thing.

If I get the RMD, it will be one of the originals in gray and black. Not too huge on this deal.
 
Well I got one, if I don't like the top it will be gone. Now, who can turn down that convex????
