Introducing the SARGE Series. . . . YOWZA!!!!!!. . . Nice Job Garth!!!!!

Awesome  Can't wait!

Where's the balance point on one of those I wonder?

I would have kept the spine grooves though

Wait a minute...

Just started reading some of the replies and noticed this one. Those spine grooves are one of my favorite parts of the SAR series :grumpy: I guess they could always be added, but curious why they're missing.

Yeah, it seems like they'd lower the weight even more. And the nuclear meltdown treatment would do some, too. The weight loss would probably be unnoticeable anyway, but I like the way those two things look

Maybe they were taken out for strength... Since the handles aren't solid, although I doubt it would make that big of a difference...

The jimping is the only thing I can't stand about the SAR series. Without it the SAR series is almost perfect so I am thrilled that it is gone. All it needs now are thicker, rounded, contoured slabs, then it would be perfect.

Introducing the SARGE Series. . . .

A while ago I took a SAR blank into the grinding room and threw it at Garth. . . hit him square in the back of the head. He screamed, "Son-Of A Badger!!!!! . . . man that thing is heavy!" "Don't complain to me, I said. . .. If you don't like it. . . lighten it up!!!!"

In some parts of the country that might be seen as "employee abuse" I would take it as quite teh compliment to receive a blank(thank bacon it was just a blank) to the back of teh skull! Congrats Garth on the smiting!!

Sweet blade design, but I am conflicted about the jimping being gone. It is unique to the SAR 4/6/8 design and some of my favorites because of it.

I have a 6 and an 8 user now, so unless the pricing is right this one may get passed by as much as I like the concept of longer and lighter than a 6.

Now a SARGE 9 or 10 with the flat grind and no milling out the handles would be pretty sweet especially with the jimping which is excellent for using with fire steels and does make a more secure grip for close up work. Oh, and either add liners or just make magnum handles to make it perfect for a light weight non res-c chopper.

Love hate with the jimping on the SAR's still...

On the up side, it has to help keep the cost down skipping it especially with the extra work under the scale.

The Sarge7 Will Be Available This Coming Wednesday Feburary the 15th, Around 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
