I left the mill scale on the flats and etched it, it gives it a kind of interesting look

If I may ask, is that ironwood "macassar ebony"? I have a bokken that looks very similar.

I used to really dislike the whole idea of the "Americanized tanto" but pieces like these have really proven me wrong.

Well i dont know woods very well but its my understanding that this is desert ironwood, i bought it from a guy at the Las vegas show a year ago.
