Is Amherst Cutlery still in business?

I don't think this is the proper place to elaborate on Amherst's business practices, but if you go run a search in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly you can find out the story for yourself.

Quite right. It's not the place to elaborate on this member or business as they've been banned from bladeforums. The thread is being moved to feedback for further discussion.

Please try to refrain from unsupported allegation or speculation as it serves nobody's interest.

Now that it is moved here , can someone now elaborate on why he was banned ?

We've been down this road before. It was a decision made by Spark upon evaluation of a variety of infractions, personal actions and statements made by the banned party toward both the forums and Spark personally, as well as upon consultation of forum moderators.

Let's just leave it at that as there's nothing further to be gained from this line of inquiry.

Why was my post removed. Did I do something wrong?

Just sent you a return reply email stating that I am thankful for all your assistance here, however my 10:22am EST time post is gone.

Best Always,
Anthony

They are still operating, but Tim Balda still can't get his act together. I sent in my straight carver because it had a soft tip, which he confirmed was a faulty heat treat. He was supposed to get it back to me by the new year. Now it's March and after countless excuses and misdirections it is supposedly in transit. I don't know if it is, but in hind sight I should have never sent my knife in to him. DO NOT BUY FROM AMHERST CUTLERY OR TIM BALDA !!!! What kind of knifemaker has issues returning a warranty repair??
