Is benchmade going to answer to spyderco's s110v military?

Spyderco probably needs to answer spyderco first since the s110v para has been a slow release.:)

Benchmade doesn't need to "answer" Spyderco's Military in super-hard, hard-to-sharpen, more-brittle-than-anything-Benchmade-uses S110V. They already have the Contego in CPM-M4 and M390. If anything, the Military in S110V is Spyderco's "answer" to the Contego.

Nah, BM is fine with their steels.

Upgrading their 154CM to CPM154 would be awesome though.
Amen!

nice.

about m4 - i really don't like that coating not a bit.

the problem for me that i don't like that blue handle, i will tell the main problem below...
RIT dye to the rescue!

IS D2 a choice for edc at all? i mean, all those hard-use tests one can find on vininull's channel show d2 as an unbeatable cut-the-wall-and-get-out adamantium among most popular widely spreaded steels, which can chop just about anything, but doesn't it mean it can't be as good as others, i mean it can't be best at everything at the same time! and it rusts as m4, i had pvd coated d2 blade as additional knife, i used it for cases where you know you will hit some metal or stone with edge, getting it damaged. and pvd just couldn't help with that rust under it.
D2 is just fine for EDC. I carried a 51 Morpho with a satin finish D2 blade on a regular basis when I owned the knife. Not a bit of rust on it. There are plenty of Infidels and mini-Infidels out there with uncoated blades that are just fine.
