Is everything OK at Livesay?

Jeff-

I really took your comment in the spirit you intended it :-) honest! I'm terribly hard to offend, even when someone's trying.

OTOH, the call blocking thing mystifies me, both in this instance and in general:

In general I find it rude, since I can't look at a display and figure out who it is calling, anyway. In essence you're making customers work twice as hard to reach you. For marketers it's easy. They simply use an outbound WATS line, which never shows on caller ID. I simply hang up on 'em. No courtesy of even a goodbye, just click. My mom's fiancee has blocking. I won't call her when she's over there. I'm so offended by the use of inbound blocking that I won't speak to my own mom. I'm not paranoid, obviously I'm giving up a ton of personal info to a company in order to order from them - it's simnply a courtesy thing. If someone thinks they're so important that I have to work extra hard to reach them, then I won't do it. Period.

Oh well, as Vonnegut said, "so it goes."

I feel a bit bad about the snippy tone of my messages above. Newt sent me an email about my messages. I responded, explained myself, and asked him a couple of questions. That was a few days ago. I have not heard back. I hope to hear back from him.
