Is it a 2 Dot 110...

well I guess its true to not speak of odd things but
but
but
so many times folks try to deceive others..
I still see this blade as being thicker at the hump then at the connection to the handle
and it makes me wander ...
also he has no COA with this
again some real knives do have coa's and many do not as they do get lost

as with any thing let the buyer beware
and as I tell every one
pay only what you will for what it is
and not what you think it might be worth now or later ...
because if you want to invest ... gold? silver?
PS they should remove the link to the listing as it is deal finding ...
lol
so is it a scimitar or skinner bladed 110 ? ;)

This thing is up to $140, unbelievable. Not being a knife maker let me ask, even in the factory how do the get the 103 blade on a 110 tang without welding it?

Perhaps a skilled craftsman at the Buck factory took a sheet of blade stock and chopped out the blade in question and whacked it with the 110 tang stamper. Or possibly took a roughed out 103 blade and formed it to fit a 110 frame and stamped it with the 110 stamping tool.

Oregon I thought of all thought. It just doesn't make sense why he/she would put a 110 stamp on a custom, trial knife. But then again a lot of stuff doesn't make sense to me now days :)

Your logic is magnificent and I bask in the light of your intellectual brilliance so it if big fun for me to read your posts. Thank you. Really.

Practical joke? Imagine a new guy/gal on the production line or quality control newby when they see this puppy flow into their domain! Perhaps payback for that person's practical joke or a trial by fire for the new person or a test of inspection acumen: Can you spot the zebra in this herd of horses kind of test/joke. Is anybody paying attention kind of test. A classic "what's wrong with this picture" experience for one or more Buck employees. Perhaps you've gotten this or similar treatment at work. I know that I have been treated to obvious challenges to the norm while employed.

I watched that so called 110 on the bay for about 20 seconds. Looks like a piece of crap and uglier than my last date.
I like knives that look good but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Late last year I saw a one one stamped Buck 124. I made several inquiries to some very knowledgeable people who suggest most like a grind off as there is only ONE known of. I asked the seller if I could return it for a refund if Buck said it was a phoney. Not one word in return and the knife with drawn in about 5 minutes after my question.
Just goes to show what you might find on auction sites.

UPDATE: It is up to $201 now.

I have had knives that look great in person but do not look so nice in pictures so hard to tell.

Not one I am taking a chance on. The marrying of the blades does not look very well done in the pictures. I'll pass.

I would like to have it... But, I would want to hold it first... I like anything different... That's just me... :o

ITS all you needed to do was beat the winning bid of $400 :barf: I hope the new owner enjoys their new knife !!! It would be interesting to see in person.

Wow.... at that price the new owner should send it to Buck, and see if they can verify if it is authentic.....

oh my
it went high...
the winning amount was 400..... and the bidder made like 6 bids over what won..
he only had 50 something buying history
wander who he is ?

... I'll be in the shop the rest of the week reprofiling 110 handles and welding blades.......

I talked to Leroy today about this knife before I considered bidding, and said it was probably one he made at the factory and that he had made a few like that.

I guess the bidder got the real deal good for him. Not sure I would of paid that much (but it is worth what someone is willing to pay). I would love to pick Leroy's brain on the the thinking that went in to this and how it was built. Real 103 blade, 110 stamp, 112 frame all slapped together? Also why he built it. Idea for a new design, just having fun etc.
