Is it a Custom??

Charlie, that is sure a purdy knife and a rare one too! I'd be pleased to inspect that beauty as well if you bring it to the Oregon show!

Perry, glad to hear you'll be there! I'll be the one with the chicken eyes and coon fingers at Charlie's table.:encouragement:

That would be a dream come true if I could even make it to the Show - to see the show AND to meet you guys!

Charlie-a question with this Sowbelly - I would call the actual model of the knife that.... The Jigged Bone - do you know where it originally came from - as in what Factory? its quiet outstanding Jig work, and the colour is beautiful. The jig pattern isnt Peach Seed and yet its the same colouring as some of Schrades Bone???

Duncan, I believe that the bone was hand jigged by Tony, it looks like his work.......top notch.

I wonder what Tony would have to say about it. I imagine he might say something like "Oh, I just threw that together real quick cause that blade needed a home"

Duncan, it would be great to meet and hang with ya! I wish you could make the short flight to Oregon. :p It's actually a pretty long flight for even me! And this knife may be more of a saddle horn pattern.

Tony did well to compliment the Napanoch blade with such nice looking bone handles.
That blade though has such a wicked swedge. Good job on the score Charlie.

It is a wonderful creation, regardless of what it might be called. :thumbup::)

Aaaah Yes, Perry you are right- forgive me as I was thinking when I was typing the pattern in...thinking " whats the proper term - as I recently gave away a Saddlehorn of John Lloyds...a beautiful piece it was - and thought - Oh yes...sowbelly :o, my mind has a way of deciphering things- I call it extreme intelligence, others have a different name for it - so do Mental Health Experts.

I love it!! All great names, and I can't really argue with any one of them.

But don't stop now!!:thumbup:

Thank you all for looking, and I will indeed bring it to Oregon!!
We are going to have quite a gathering!!

What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet;

It's a fantastic knife whether called "Custom" or "modified"
