I love damascus and it seems to me to take an edge easier and to hold it longer, my Case seems to get sharper just sittin' there.

No, to me damascus has a function, it should be used, although I have seen some beatiful patterns, if I couldn't use it I couldn't own it, both my damascus blades get EDC.

I have to know who makes this its gorgeous. Des Horns? where does one buy a knife from this maker?

Yep - it's an older Des Horn "Theirs" based on the traditional French clasp pattern. There are several on-line dealers who carry his work, but I'm not aware of any particular examples right now. A Google search should yield something, and Des still attends various American knife shows.

I am more focused on practical use as opposed to the artistic side of knives. While some blend these both togather rather well with Damascus it is far and few between !
