Whatever yhe reason, you have your knife out and another comments on 'Nice knife can i see it?' And after a quick look they use it to clean out under their fingernails!
Cant explain why but it makes me mad as hell and that person never gets to hold another kmife of mine. Is that me only or is that very rude?

Haha ive never had that happen to me before, i guess it wouldn't bother me too much as long as they cleaned it off afterward

Solution: Carry around nail clippers.

Although, I use my knife to clean my nails all the time, so I don't understand why it's an issue. It could be worse, at least they're not using it as a screwdriver!

this is the reason why I always carry at least two knives.

Never happened to me either. But ill agree its rude. Use your own tools for that stuff i say.

I've had someone take my knife out of my bag (without my knowledge or permission) and use it as a screwdriver...boy was I pissed when I saw the chipped edge and rolled tip.

Q: 'Nice knife can i see it?'

A: 'Not a cat in hell's chance.' :D

I wouldn't be too happy about that. Especially some dumbass who'll cut himself and drop my knife. Now you're cut and you just bought yourself a knife you weren't expecting to buy today.

Mainly, I think it is just being extremely clueless. People like that just don't appreciate knives the way we do and often see them as nothing more than the crappy screwdriver at home in their kitchen drawer. None the less it is rude and you would think anyone with a conscience would ask before using someone else's tools for a given task - especially on their own grubby fingernails. It's not unlike sitting on someone's motorcycle without asking - people have been punched for it. I might chime in a let that person know that there is a bit of etiquette involved.

(( there is a certain etiquette involved in discussing this subject. So don't. ))

And this has happened often to you? If so, you need a new set of friends. Your current ones are indeed a rude crowd.

Wow talk about 'one up!' After the circumcision post i believe i.am over reacting perhaps. By the way, was that a serrated Spyderco? Uh never mind.

I wanna see someone clean under their fingernails with my ZT0200 :D

Too bad I don't lend my knives tho....;)

That is in poor taste but I hate it when they ask to hold a knife then run their finger along the blade and bleed all over my knife.
