Is it just me or does WE Knife make some very cool knives?

I think the 604DST (bottom one) is the best looking knife that We has ever made.

I've not seen an original design that really appealed to me, but their production quality is excellent and I really like the production versions they've made of other makers' designs.

I believe the two I posted above are originals. Another WE original that looks good to me is the Reiver. It's not my style but I appreciate what they were going for here.

As far as named designers, the SNECX Mini Buster is another good-looking knife. It's not for me but it looks cool.

And I returned a Reiver due to an extremely weak detent! So WE is awesome but not perfect it seems.

;)
Nah, I think it was just me and my quirky preferences. Its action was dreamy, solid as a rock and very beautiful anodizing. Heck, it won Best Factory Knife at Blade Show Texas recently. I expected to love it but it made my hand feel small and was heavier than I like for fidgeting. I’m very happy they allowed me to return it for full credit. I turned it right around. 😇

The Reiver is the perfect pocket knife for me, but a light downward shake when the knife was closed caused it to fly open. Softest detent I’ve ever experienced by some measure.

Agreed,

Their original designs are a bit frilly for my taste. I also have an irrational dislike of the branded pivots.

But I'm always happy to hear other people enjoy them!

Something was definitely wrong, mine won't open no matter how hard I fling it downward while closed.

Fit, finish, and quality control from WE is usually good but one place where I see variation is detent strength. Most are good. Some are great. Some need work. I tend to mess with them myself on less expensive knives such as their Civivi or Sencut lines. With more expensive stuff, I'll try to swap a knife with a weak detent at the dealer level.
