Is it just me or does WE Knife make some very cool knives?

My experience with WE detents, has been nothing but positive. Same with most brands these days, it's rare for me to get a lazy detent with any brand. And I agree nothing worse than a flipper that you have to make a conscious effort to have open fully. Or, even worse have open when you're not expecting it.

I really like the looks of it, but can it thrust? Or is it more clever like and mainly cut? Please help I'm stumped just looking at a picture.

I think the 604DST (bottom one) is the best looking knife that We has ever made.

Yeah me too, in fact if you ever need a kidney or a nut I'd be open to a trade!

What do they need to thrust that a pocket knife will ever be a good tool for

WE/Civivi did themselves a favour by doing a lot of collaborations with some truly talented knife designers from the West. Whether you have a stable full of great knife designers, you're a some sort of co-op of knife designers (like MKM or Kellam), or you contract them on a knife by knife basis, people are going to seek out your steel if you put it into the hands of great knife designers.

Well said!

It's also worth noting some of their more basic budget models in the Civivi and Sencut lines. For instance, this little Sencut Neches in 10Cr15CoMov (Chinese VG-10) has been fantastic. It's basic but just great at being what it is.

The Pintail is a great example of one of their excellent value in-between knives if they still make it, it's a super practical and nicely proportioned drop point in S35VN with thin stock and a hollow grind. I think it was $80, so really good for that blade from a company that builds them well.
