Is it just me or has this happened before?

Okay, so there's a certain dealer online (who even operates in BF), from whom I bought an ESEE Junglas. On Sunday.

I paid the PayPal, did all that, and then waited. I waited three days until they finally told me they hadn't received payment for the item. Well, I went into my PayPal, got the receipt and called them about it. So they DID get the money!

BUT! The Junglas, of which they said they had 3, was "out of stock" and would "take 2 weeks at least" before I get it.

Now I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just sort of upset. I save up for a long time to buy myself a Junglas, they say they have 3 in stock, let me proceed through checkout, they get my money, wait half a week before they tell me they didn't receive my money, then they tell me that they didn't have it.

I wouldn't be too happy about that. Did you express your concerns about the situation to them? I've found most of the reputable online knife dealers to be very customer service driven, so if this dealer cares about keeping their customers, I imagine that they would try to make it right (somehow).

May want to hold off on judgment for a while, but if you keep having trouble, tell us who it is on the feedback board so we can avoid dealing with them.

You have every right to be upset, that kind of stuff is totally unacceptable. I would ask them to make it right, and if they are still giving you problems, I would get my money back. If they won't refund you, PayPal is VERY good about getting you a refund even if the dealer refuses.

It also may be helpful to post the name of the dealer, so that other people who are looking to buy from an online retailer can avoid similar issues.

Some people may object, but I don't think there is anything wrong with letting the community know about who they should avoid.

you have every right to be upset. Business is built on honesty, integrity, respect, and customer service. If they dont bend over backwards admitting they were wrong, taking the blame for falsely advertising a product they didnt have, or not being upfront about receiving payment, they arent worth dealing with in the future. That being said, you cannot fake a paypal transaction. Everyone knows where the money is. Why Lie? I think there may be more going on with the dealer than meets the eye.

Has what ever happened before, Paypal not showing up as received, a knife being out of stock, or having to wait 2 weeks for a knife?

I am sure it has happened many times before, but without a name I/we cannot determine if it happens more than once, often, was an aberration or the Dealer just does not like you.

So, want to advise us who this Dealer is???

First, the General Knife Discussion is for discussing knives. The FEEDBACK forum is for discussing deals and dealers. I have moved this thread there.

Now, about the Junglas, while anybody can make a mistake. this place seems to have made two: mishandled your money and misstated their stock. Buying on the internet is an act of trust, and I would have a hard time trusting someone who slips up twice in one deal.

You might consider asking for your money back. If they hesitate, contact PayPal and have them reverse that payment.

You can post the name of the dealer, but I suggest you send them a link to this thread first.

Its CRKS. I called and the guy was nice and said I could get a refund, so that straightens thongs out. I'm just disappointed that things went like this, because I like CRKS, but now I don't know if something is in-stock or out-of-stock. So even though it got straightened out, I don't think I'll be buying from CR anymore...

. He also mentioned that the Junglas is back-ordered almost everywhere. So anyone know of any place with a Junglas? I guarantee the sale! Haha.

By the way, the website of CRKS still says they have 3 Junglas-es in stock.
