Is it weird that I am tweener'd out?

Condors? Do yourself a favor and get one big Becker first....save yourself the hassle of selling the Condors. If you dint like it, you can always flip it quick in the exchange. The big internet retailer named for a south American river has BK7s for like $67...BK2's less than that.

Selling the Condors, eh? I own quite a few of them, haven't had one I didn't like yet ;)

I'm sure I will love the Beckers, too. I just want the Condors more, since they are more visually appealing to me. They remind me of a couple of my customs.

But, fear not, I will get a Becker eventually. :)

You Becker will be more visually appealing once you mod it to your taste. Thats half the fun!

Sorry, going more for snarky and ironic. I just found it funny that you lead the charge on "when are the tweeners coming" and are the first to fall out of the honeymoon phase. :)

BTW...thats the least of my flip-flop mentality. I'll go hard core survival bushcraft for 10 months, then I'll suddenly get bored and switch to one of my few other interests, get bored, and 10 months later be back to hard core bushcraftiness. With the tweener, I was just dying for something NEW. I still like them, there's just several factors that are pushing other knives to the front now.

I'm kicking myself now for cliching my 16. I did it because it looked too boring stripped. I forgot about what I used to do, which was submerge in vinegar and quickly dry. Gives it an even "tan" of a patina. Shoulda tried that first. I kinda want a new one to start over. Might look at swapping something at some point.

still lovin my 17....it has proven to be the perfect edc and i dont see anything thats gonna change that.
as a matter of fact, its in my back pocket as i type this

Nice sheath there!

As of 10 minutes ago, I am tweenerless (with a "T"). Someone made an offer I couldnt refuse....When I come back to tweener land, it'll be the 15.

imo the tweeners should come with something similar to it from the factory. it makes carrying a mid-sized knife so easy you'll forget its there.
some of us who carry a pistol on the belt everyday need an option like this, especially if folders arent your thing.

and i wont ever be tweenerless, i was screaming for a Becker like this 2 years ago.

If you hunt and want something you wont have to lug around they're perfect that's the only reason I am gettint a 15 if I didn't hunt I really woulnt want one

exactly why i went with the clip point 17. come deer season this knife will be back in the factory sheath, and on my hip. THEN it truly will be put to the test

I haven't ever got rid of a Condor :p

They cost slightly less, and are just as fun to mod. And to think... I still want a Becker.

I know the Becker line was built on the large, robust designs that we all know and love. I have owned them all, even multiples at one time or another. But my knife use doesn't require much chopping, and I also don't particularly want to carry the weight of a larger knife.

To me, the 16 is everything that I hoped it would be. It gives me the Becker toughness and quality in a more compact and light weight package. I think Ethan has almost even ruined me for custom knives! BK15 here I come.

That was my EXACT thought. I used to have a Sable, and this knife reminds me of it a lot!

I always wanted one of those Sables. I even got my first custom knife shaped very similar to one. As you can see the blade shape is very similar and the finger cutout mimics the round finger cutout/groove(?) of the one piece series.

well, all the new, expected, knives for 2012 are out, and you've all got your shiny fix, and now are bored...

i see you, looking at other brands, other types.

as well, the for sale forums, yup, there's a slight uptick in Beckers. fortunately, there's a thriving buyer market.

just need a few more people selling BK12s at a good price :>

and old Machaxes

and weird one of of a kind prototypes... i'm hoping the $400+ people got the message: the new stuff is out, and value priced ;)

I have been around Bladite long enuff to key in on his lil ''code''. That single word I highlighted intrigues me GREATLY. You are a sneaky sort Sir Bladdy....but I am hip to your jive LOL

I don't see anyone looking at other brands. I'm still a Becker addict. I just have a very specific system in which I choose new knives and move them in, or out of my personal inventory. Notice I have not knocked the tweeners....I like them very much. But for my personal preferences in use and size, the tweeners didn't fit my gear system so much once I got it in hand. It worked beautifully and is an awesome knife. Would have been "awesomer" with the saber grind, but oh well. I have one more on the big wish list that is another "unknown" to me, and that is the BK4. Then I might come back and pick up some tweeners later....probably when the factory micarta comes out.

I'm so "system specific" when it comes to my kit, that I gave up one of my prize blades, my BHK Machete to Godspeed! in exchange for a pimped rig he's making me (oh yeah...he hasn't advertised, but he does do work for steel as well as federal reserve notes!). When it comes to eastern woodland use, IMO bigger Beckers do better than machetes. If I thought the zombie apocalypse might actually happen, I'd keep it, because it is an AWESOME melee weapon (that extended micarta handle is awesomesauce!). But I don't keep stuff based on fantasy, just use. And being that I am off work, I'll trade less used stuff for stuff I NEED.

I do think the tweeners would work REALLY good in one of Skystorms diagonal, low profile belt sheaths.

Now as Thrillbilly pointed out....you know something? Or just doing the Three Amigos Tease again?
