I like Kershaw's Launch line, I have a Launch 8 and it's very nice for the price.
I've been over assisted knives for probably 10 years. Automatics were illegal here until 2017 and most manuals didn't have that quick action, so it was kind of a go between. The only production knife with a flipper was the CRKT M16 and it was garbage. Didn't flip reliably, horrible QC (mine the lock failed).
Come flippers with bearings, or even polished PB bronze, and assisted was an extra complication that could break. It also didn't help that assisted knives tend to be on the lower end of the price section.
Most of the newer designs of assisted are cheap imported junk where the assist is just a novelty.
People still love and buy the classics like the Kershaw Ken Onion series, Blur, etc, which is why they keep making them. ZT used to make a few A/O but they are pretty much gone. People spending $200+ aren't looking for that anymore, it's become a sign of a cheap knife.
I loved the overall design of the CF ZT 0770, but hated the assist. I always wanted a Kershaw Bareknuckle in M390 or 20cv but never was able to get one, and the secondary market was way inflated.
I think if ZT were to introduce a KVT version of the 0770CF that would sell like hotcakes. I have 2 ZT's, 0095BLKS90 and 0470 anodized. I haven't seen much from them that has interested me in sometime.
