Is MJ&S Knives still in buisness? I ordered from them in December and have not recieved a confirmation, neither have they answered my e-mail. Their phone number is no longer in service as of today. Yesterday they just didn't answer it. Has anyone else done buisiness with them?

Same here. I placed an order with them several months ago that never was received. He had a lot of problems and had a lot of bad comments here at the forums. I thought I'd let things cool down for a while and let MJ&S get back on there feet. Looks like I made the wrong choice again. Made an online order and have not got any word from them. Tried to e-mail, never got a response, then like you said there phone got yanked. Should have learned my lesson the first time!!!!

I believe his 800 # was gone but he still had
another # to call.

I had excellent service in the past, not sure what happened.

If anyone used a credit card and got burned, just call the card company and explain what happened. They should credit your account back the amount you're out.

I ordered on their site on 2/07/01 and haven't gotten any word electronic or otherwise. This was before I read all the backhistory on MJ&S in this forum. After about a week of not getting any confirmation by e-mail, I felt like something was up and called the number to the site, and like everyone has said, it was disconnected. I even went to their old 800 number just to see, but of course it was disconnected as well. I also e-mailed them twice; the second time just to have them cancel my order. Who knows if they got it or care. Then, I went back to the site and guess what? The page at www.mjsknives.com has a big "SOLD" graphic on it. I think this means SOMETHING. I'm not sure if I had gone directly to this page before or maybe I hit the index instead when I first ordered, but this time around, there it was for sure. The rest of the site is still running, however, and apparently you can still order. I'm worried now as to where in cyberspace is my credit card information! I called my credit card company and so far nothing has been charged to my account.

Perhaps the only thing I can do is wait and see. But for everyone else, I STRONGLY suggest that you DON'T ORDER FROM MJ&S.

I tried to warn everybody but no one would listen.

Everybody on this board jumped me hard, I was right then & I have been proven right again.

I was speaking the truth.

This is a Warning to all (especially distributors) who do business with Mark. He is a former customer of ours and we know him well. We just contacted his local sheriff's
department and prosecutors office regarding criminal charges against him for writing
us bad checks. This has been unresolved for more than a year and we feel there is
no other recourse for us than to bring the law into it. Do NOT do business with him!

The site will take a credit card number if you dare. I just looked. Follow the money. You will find him. Put in a pay by check order and see if they respond to it.

I put in an offer for his domain name the other day. He got back to me in a flash. He's listening, and getting his emails guys, just not responding. By the way, he turned my offer down. Guess he's not as desperate as it seems for cash, yet.

I made a number of purchases, returns and trades with Mark during the last year....all more than satisfactory. It's very puzzling and sad to watch him self destruct. It's hard to understand. From what I am reading, though, it seems he's doing just that with what was a good business. Too bad. I wish it weren't so.

What happened?
