Is O2W losing steam?

Like Jerry said, HOGS been beating their Guestimates every time, but once, an offering lasted till Wed,
So if you look at it that way, stuff still selling out, just got tired of guessing without the Clues

It's all good brother-For instance I would think (will never say I know) that during the recent offering of the Fatboy Defender for example, not as many blanks were run off as say the AK-47. If I am wrong, and this is entirely possible, I am sure Mr. Busse will set it straight for the record.
Thanks Tommy, I also read that in Jerry's last post.
Cool how they plan on a number and it's always short. All of us craving piggies on the trough.
Oink

Jerry could also start offering classics from the Swamp and Yard to satisfy Rats and Dogs...Rat Hunter, Chop Mastiff, Chopweiler, HRLM...

For me, I've got what I consider a LOT of blades on order, so I'm much pickier now.
I still get totally excited every single week! I just can't wait to see what Jerry has dreamed up for his HOGS! :D ---
If something that I really, REALLY, REALLY want pops up, I dive in with both hooves!!! OINK!!! :pig:

It has for me for two reasons. #1 being I'm out of money. #2 being that the Huck is pretty much what I'd been hoping for the whole time. Between my SOB, TGLB, (soon to be) Double Talon, and the Huck I've got all of my blade needs covered.

This is how I felt, and then Busse released the Fatboy Defender

Didnt Jerry said that they Estimate the demand and order that many blanks ?

I want them all! I have to find reasons NOT to buy.

I've missed some I really wanted holding out for the next weeks offering.

The exchange will be an amazing place over the next year

Definitely more selective spending.

Also there's only so often you want to type guesses regarding the next Wednesday blade. Thus the slowing down of the guess thread isn't a real measurement of O2W.

Also how fast blades sell out doesn't say much. These blades aren't made yet. If Jerry wanted they wouldn't sell out for months since he simply could make more.
Unless there is a same limited number for each model the time of the call for the last blades to be sold out doesn't tell us anything.

The grab bags made a dent.
Because now even if something desirable comes along, 'maybe it's in my grab bag anyways?' Kind of a good excuse to fight ones addiction even if the probability is low. Therefore from a business point of view maybe it's better to release the grab bags only at the end of O2W next time or at least ship them out as fast as possible so people see what they got and then know what they still have to buy from the following offers.

However if there's a folder, Seax, MOASS or Gladius or other surprise coming up in O2W nothings gonna stop us. Some want these as bad as I wanted the HUCK for example.
Am I right?
:-)

You'll never get my MOASS [emoji51]

I get it, what you mean, not your MOASS of course. You probably paid a premium for this custom beauty and the idea of 100s of Hogs running around with the same blade doesn't seem fair.
Something very similar would be cool though. I'd even prefer it with a simpler more uniform handle which is probably cheaper and distracts less from the great blade.
Don't hit me, just my opinion. :-p

Adian and Jens, not to intrude on Ur Moas conversation,
But, Does anyone know if PIMP was one of a kind like MOAS ? Or is there a chance there were a few of them made ?
Anybody know ?

Naa it's all good brother, it is a beauty of a blade and yes I like the fact that it is unique and always will be, I think you guys would love it as much as I do and a variant of it would be amazing for O2W (plus my wife is trying to steal mine, so if a BG version came available I could get her one).

Only blade I'd like to see is a War Boar since I'm all set for other knife sizes, and that one hasn't come up yet and most likely won't. I was hoping for a while to see it in the beginning and now my optimism has faded, along with excitement for o2w.

What makes you think it wont come up ? It definitely sounds like theres enough interest in War Boar, i know id get 1.
its really hard to predict this O2W business, we had classics and brand new blades, and Tanto doesn't seem like theres any rhyme or reason, i guess only Boss knows for sure.
Also if your reading this Boss, an ASH-2 LE would me Great at some point. Thanks

I just want to see some more vertical corrugated bevels, like on some of the HG55s. Those are very cool. If they were offered soon, I would just have to give in. And then I would start coming up with apologies to my family and explanations why we are eating refried beans every meal...

The level of innovation O2W has brought to Busse is astounding. A new model or variant nearly every week? Often more than one per week? How many other companies offer a new product every week? Even if you do not care for this weeks offering, or even any of the previous offerings, the fact that so many new offerings are coming out greatly improves the probability that you will find something that you like. I for one hope that Mr. Busse can keep offering new designs while punching through the backlog.

Totally agree-the fact that new designs can be offered every week is astounding-Most manufacturer's (Most-if not all) offer the same Blade profile and design for every knife they manufacture-4 inch this profile-8 inch same profile-same design on every knife they offer-Boring!!!

When the custom shop opens back up you could order a MOASS if you would like one (and if they have a blank), but I believe Jerry said that the PIMP's would be a true one-off.
