Is Sandi Alive?

Very GRRRR. ;)

Think she could handle a spear, Dave? I could use a good uke, how 'bout you? :p

If anything I'm probably more aggressive than Sandi... I dont take bull from anyone but them.:D
I dont know about using a spear but my aikido instructor also teaches us Jodo - way of the staff. I'm much better with a sword though. :)
The way it sounds I must be the only Oklahoma girl you guys know who cant cook!!! Maybe I should have Sandi teach me. HAHA

Hell, sweetie, I can cook. ;)

I give a mean massage, too, and as for staff- well, that's my "speciality". :D

When you say "jodo", do you mean the 4' staff specifically? Just curious. Also, does your school go staff vs. staff, or staff vs sword (or both)?

And that's another big plus, Spec. I learned how to cook early on and still do. In fact, the best cooks I know are men -- except for Sandi and Barb, of course. And if you like dalbhat for breakfast, lunch and for dinner and snacks in between Yangdu is right up there.

Jenn,
Are you learning timbin style or nagashi style? I figure nagashi, since it is Aikido. Nagashi is where there is alot of slideing up and down the bo/jo, you are almost never in the center of the staff. This style is easily modified by mounting a blade on one end, or a spear head, and if you feel like it a weight or furrel/cone on the other end.
A little bit of practice, and a modified shaft so that you know where the edge is, and you will be in business. :D

As for the horse...you have more experience than me. :)

I've found at least three recipes for dal bhat, all good, all different, and all require lots of cold liquid nearby to cool the tonsils.

Hey a guy who can cook and give great massages. I'm falling in love already. HEHE
Yes I do mean the 4' staff. My school does staff vs. staff, staff vs. hand... We haven't done any staff vs. sword. I'm learning Nagashi style. Well that sounds great but I know that uke almost always gets the bad end of the deal, so you guys will have to keep looking for one.

Hey Jenn,
I really don't mind the status of your cooking expertise. However, I do like how you are comfortable with a sword. And since you are so aggressive could I possibly get a e-mail address, maybe a instant messenger address also?

That last post lacks the finesse that I attemped to achieve in Aikido today. I apilogise if you find it rude.:o

Dave,
My email address is jdmitchell17@yahoo.com
I dont use instant messagenger cause I'm rarely at home, and when I am I'm usually not online. :D I'm a recovering internet addict... although I'm getting hooked on the forum now. Maybe its just the company...;) I'm not completely comfy with a sword yet... but then I've only been in Aikido for a year.
Jenn

I have been in for 3 years...and I am an addict. Sensei is the head of the practicing psych dept here at Baylor...so I am in good hands. :D :D And I am serious. :)

Dave, that is waaaaay cool, bro. :)

(hi, Jessica! Could you translate that into Okinese for me, Jenn? ;))

We took a pic. of Jennifer & Jessica and I will post it if I can figure out how. Please excuse the poor pic. my web cam isn't the best i'm afraid.
