Is Snody Crazy

Ok so I don't live there, currently but I am a proud Texan at heart and I am glad to see that some very cool knives coming from my hometown of Corpus Christi, by way of one, Mike Snody. I was checking out his youtube channel today and I witnessed him getting a tattoo while he was polishing one of his knives. He was peering at the knife through a magnifying glass, While using a hundred dollar bill as a polishing agent. Question, does money have a grit? Or is this just image play for a knife making pimp. I know that newsprint can do things for a convex edge and well as your belt which seems pretty damn smooth.

You can see the fibers in the money if you look close enough. It may be very fine polishing agent, but IMO... too fine to make any notable difference.
Brown paper bags from the grocery store, however do a pretty good job of fine polishing.

Yeah, it's just his spiel. I actually liked his stuff untill I saw one of his youtube vids. That kind of "gangsta" stuff isn't for me.

I don't know if this 'gangsta' persona is just for show online or that's just the way he is. What I do know is this... I have a folder and a fixed blade from Mike Snody, and both are definitely top quality knives. :thumbup:

His knives are nice. Don't know anything about him as a person, though.

Edit: although the photo of him skinning a deer, decked out in brand new Kentucky dork clothes, certainly doesn't match up with the style of most of his work, or the photos of piles of $50 & $100 bills.

I've talked to Mike a few times over the phone. Cool guy. His pics inspired me to take some "snodyesque" pics of my own. The difference is my pics are ususally taken on "payday", his are taken any time.

You'd think he thinks he's like Ice-T or Ice Cube or something. Then to have shredded money at the tables at Vegas? What?
