For half the money you can get an Ontario 12 inch machete and a Condor Kephart or sak farmer. The machete can out chop it, and can be easily modded, and the kep on the belt or farmer in your pocket will handle all slicing chores while not pulling your pants down.

Modded fixed grip - jimping, ramp, and raised tang filed off, black linen micarta handles added. It is now quite a sweet ride and part of a decent, versatile combo.
