Is the Busse warranty "unconditionally" a desirable thing?

JERRY:
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU FEEL YOU CAN SAY ABOUT THESE ISSUES THAT WOULD HELP US UNDERSTAND THEM BETTER?

That would be the most interesting info of all, obviously.

Here's the bottom line. . . . We're too drunk to keep up with fine print. . . So, if we make it, it will carry our simple guarantee. . . . If you break it, we'll fix it. . . . Period!. . .

Let's Drink!!!!

So if Busse can't guarantee it, they're not gonna build it--period.

Now why didn't I know that?

Thanks Jerry,
Will

Well I take Jerry's words in a positive vein that it could be done....at least in so far as a 3/16 thick and a 12 to 14 inch blade... this would seem to be little or no serious advance on "warranty risk" from the BWM and from a user perspective the extra 2 inches helps...maybe even better at 14 inches....these knives would make an ideal interchangeable partnership with the NMFBM for jungle/brush work keeping the NMFBM for Northern Forest work...and whilst the 10.5 inch blade on the BWM is still very handy for this type of work....a longer blade would be faster, more effective and safer....just like an Axe...the longer the haft the safer the Axe...the longer the blade the safer the Machete....missed strikes more easily catch the ground than swinging back to the legs...and Infi catching the ground is not going to "mess up" like a cheap pressed steel machete...

Just my opinion but using Infi for a long thin and tough Machete is really maximising what it does best.....you might say it was what it was born to do.....:cool:

...16" blade length...3/16" or even .175" thickness...and slightly less wide than the BWBM...

Here's my take on things: One of the knife companies should not have ANY sort of guarantee! It wouldn't be under the Busse name, and therefore.... therefore... doable.
Now.. let's see.... ... swamp rat... scrapyard ... swamp dog... junkyard rat?
Yeah.. Junk yard rat knives.... All of the aborted INFI ideas and others,
with NO guarantees whatsoever! And a lower price to boot!

Absolutely agree. 12"...14"...16" -- whatever the longest, thinnest machete-style blade Jerry can build and guarantee would be more than welcome. A Res-C handled model from Dan would also be an exciting offering, whether INFI or S7.

Count me in -- sooner the better.

19 1/2" recurve blade, 10" two fisted grip that changes angle of attact as you move back, slight finger grooves to help you hold on for heavy chopping....
