If the Yojimbo is pretty and you must have it then it's not overpriced. It's a good looking knife and Spyderco are good at what they do. If you need a slicey knife that cuts things, Spyderco has got you covered, with a wide range of pricing and steel choices. They only make up less than 5% of my knife collection but account for at least 40% of my actual knife use (outside of the kitchen).
