Is there any Custom & Handmade Knives here?

Diamondblade LLC, uses friction forgeing to make their blades. Has nothing to do with diamonds. I just took this opprotunity to make up a good story.Sounded really good didn't it.

Like Tom said anything that hard would be so brittle it wouldn't be practical for normal use. Many things are harder than steel. Glass is harder than steel. Hit a piece of glass with a piece of steel and see which breaks.
I truely hope you find what you are after.

Oh come on knifemakers! Somebody make the guy a knife out ouf unobtainium or hardtogettum and get it over with. Just make sure it's hardened to hrc 8 or 9, and it cuts everything in it's path...

;):yawn::rolleyes:

I know of this guy named Logan who has this stuff called Adamantium. Thats what you're lookin for man. Check him out.

Believe it or not, I am a drinking buddy with a post doc materials scientist who is doing the crazy tungsten/ceramic stuff. He didn't think it'd be a great idea for a WORKING knife blade, but something like a scalpel maybe.

Realy world- knives have to be sharpened. After 100 years of moderate use, they will show a lot of age. Get another one then.

This thread is some kind of joke right? I mean puuuullllllease. The OP sounds like some 13 year old mall ninja wanna be.

On the (wildly remote) chance that the OP was asking a genuine question, my advice to him / her is as follows:

1) This place is a great source of information, if you just hang around for a while and read a few active threads, you will learn a lot.

2) This isn't an overly formal place, but making some small effort in the areas of spelling, grammar and punctuation will go a long way toward improving communication.

The Strider guys are making a propriety Titanium material right now (in conjunction with Crucible Steel) that rockwells near 70c and is tough as can be.

They had some at Blade last year, and I understand they are now making knives out of the stuff, but it is very expensive.

It would be interested to learn more about this material.
