Is there anyone out there who EDCs only swiss army knives?

Depends on where I think I'll be.

When in town, I often find myself with just a SAK. Usually a Farmer or Tinker, but an old Alox Soldier is finding it's way into the rotation more often lately. Sometimes I find I'm out and about with nothing more than a Classic or a lil' Rambler. If I'm going into the mountains, it's a different story and I'll have a fixed blade or sturdy lock blade handy too.

So EDC "just" a SAK? Hell yeah.

I carry an alox cadet everyday, along with a swiss tool spirit x on my belt. I also have a super tinker in my truck.

most days I only have a sak on me, when I get home or on the weekends I can change it, but it's getting less common, still love the other knives, but, yeah, my saks do it all and i don't have to think about it, which is nice

glad someone else is is doing this right now as well, i was beginning to think I was weird :p

Most days I just carry my super tinker. The only time I take something else is if I am expecting to need a dedicated knife a lot.

Alox Bantam in my wallet and Alox Solo in my pocket. My favorite is the small Tinker, I've trashed a few and lost my most recent one. I really like the Solo; the Bantam's blade and combo tool (which rocks!) are rightnext to each other and the blade has hit the tool several times.

This begs the question about using "expensive" knives as an EDC.... If bang up my SAK, I have another just like it waiting at home. But I usually have the SAK and at least one other knife with me if I head for the woods.

Jackknife hit on my dilemma.... I really depend on my SAK. I choose it as my first choice to cut most things daily. But I would love to actually get some use out of my other knives. I have thousands of dollars tied up in knives and what do I do most of my cutting with?.... a $20-$25 Vic SAK. Makes no sense at all. I want to use the new Traditional Form GEC knife as an EDC as I really like it... but.... you know... the SAK is always there...

I don't edc just a SAK but I have one in my pocket always. My edc knives do seem to be getting smaller and smaller as time goes on. So it seems that I will get there some day.:D

Thanks abcdef. I'll keep a look out. Thanks for all of the answers. I love hearing from fellow SAK lovers.

I'm 14 and carrying a knife fetches a $1,000 fine where I live. I don't think anyone classifies a SAK to be a knife, same goes for a leatherman.
I'm homeschooled by the way, so most of the time I will have a military/350 or soon to be a ZT560 in my pocket.
If I'm going to a friends house or to the shops then I'll just keep a SAK in my back pocket.

I always carry a SAK (Tinker, Super Tinker or Camper) but I also usually carry a second knife. Sometimes the second knife is a Case Stockman or Trapper and sometimes it's another SAK. But if a carry just one it's a SAK.

Only when I've forgotten to bring any other knife (it's always in my bag) or when travelling.

I'm with Moosez45, making sure an SAK is on me is part of the getting dressed routine in the morning, invariably a Super Tinker. I also have a Classic on my keys. The only time I swap out the Super Tinker is if I am going bush, in which case it makes way for my Fieldmaster (Super Tinker with a saw). I do occasionally carry something like a Rat-1 or Tenacious, but the SAK is a given at all times.

I mostly carry a Victorinox Farmer on maybe 3-4 days of the week - on the other days i carry a PM2 or both :P

The framer is a great knife with excellent finish, not to thick and just necassary tools !

I wouldn't say I edc SAKs only, but they are my most carried folding knives. I always have one or multiple classics on me: one is on my keys, one is in my first aid pack in my backpack. As edc, when I'm in the city (most of my days) I tend to have my Cadet with me, outdoors it will always be my Farmer or Climber.
I do carry other folders in my hometown, outdoors and at home, though.

I did for years and years. Prior to 9/11 I used to take mine out of my pocket and put it in my carry on. Always wanted a knife in case of emergency. Once I forgot, left it in my pocket, and walked right through the metal detector and it didn't go off! Again, this was pre-9/11. I EDC a oh hand opener because it is so so easy to use...my SAK is down in there with the handkerchiefs, sometimes an extra magazine, etc. I EDC an Izula if I need to really go at something...which is not very often.

I carry a Tinker. I really like it a lot. I would like to find an actual 1961-2008 soldier. If I can't find one, I suppose I could get a pioneer. I also eventually want to get a farmer. I love the alox models.

I think you can still get the Soldier pattern from Swiss Bianco.

I carry only a sak 40-50% of the time. I carry a sak 100% of the time. What ever else I am carrying is really just because I like knives.

I see a few soldiers turn up on a popular auction site pretty often, considered them once or twice myself, been eying a pioneer/harvester as well

I have far too manny knives, including a few iconic ones like the mighty Sebenza etc. Yet I carry my classic Soldier as much as all the other knives combined. It is largely good (and versatile!) enough for all the normal tasks you encounter daily in an office environment, and it is not seen as a threat by people outside the hobby. Some people don't care about how they are perceived when carrying a knife, but I do !
