Is there such a thing as THE knife

Yes, there is such a thing as THE knife.

I am sorry, but I am not going to tell you which one it is. Good luck and have fun finding it.

For me there is. The small Sebenza. I've had a lot of nice knives from a lot of big custom makers but when it comes right down to it the small Sebenza is my perfect knife and the only one I currently own (other then a BM42 for flipping a few random slip joints) I used to have a collection of 4-8 nice custom knives but they are all gone and I'm just fine with that. I've been carrying just my small Seb for about a year and a half now and I have no plans of changing until my Reese Bose backpocket shows up in another 3 years or so :)

I have to say that for me, my Ritter Grip is pretty darn close. Note I said "close". Man, that would be a real bummer, actually finding "the Knife". What would I do with my time:D Probably have more money for sure . . . .

The Benchmade 940Ti-01 and 940D2CF are just about perfect for me. Given the opportunity, I'd perhaps tweak a few things, but it's pretty damn close, and closer than anything else I've ever come across.

Can you sell off most of your knives and just be happy with 2 or 3?
Absolutely not. It's taken over 30 years to build a decent accumulation / collection, and I intend to keep them all as long as I'm alive.

Is there such a thing as THE knife
I doubt it. There may be THE knife right now, but there are always going to be new designs, new and better materials, changing style fads, changes in knife needs, and probably changes in your own personality and preferences.

Sorry I can't be of assistance regarding the Burke Rockstar; I've never fondled one.

I'm having serious doubts about whether "true love" exists, and I definitely don't think there is any such thing as "the" knife. In both cases, however, it's the chase that livens things up. :)

I never even heard of the rockstar knife.Anyone got a pic?

on topic...I don't think I'll ever have THE KNIFE,but if I can ever get my hands on a William Henry,I think that's as close as I'd get to having the ONE.

A Large Reg. Sebbie, comes very very close to "THE" knife for EDC. IMO

All though the new non-flipper orange XM has been in my pocket for the past week. I might see if Tom will hollow her out for me. The Saber grind is not BAD...its just I like hollow better than Saber. Wish I never sold the hand ground non-flipper I once had. :o

I hope I never find "THE" knife, because that would not be any fun. :D

I would be ALL over a Rockstar.....if they came in tip up carry.

It's a myth. There's no such knife.

And if there was, I couldn't afford it anyways.

There may be THE knife that's exactly what you want, but it may not be THE knife for someone else with different taste.

I think I'll always want a folder and a multi-tool to keep me happy.

Yes, there is such a thing as THE knife.

I am sorry, but I am not going to tell you which one it is. Good luck and have fun finding it.

You will find it at the end of the rainbow. I have no doubt.

Of course there is such a thing as "The Knife", I have about a hundred of them.

I look through the close to 300 that I have accumulated and I am sure that I could get by with about ten and that's about as close as it gets for me.

If I kept my Brend Model 2, a Randall #1, a Sebenza, a Strider SMF, a William Henry 12 Attache with DLC coated blade, a Gerber Mark II and an LST, A Sibert Argonaut, a Microtech Terzuola D/A and a good Swiss Army knife I think I could get by just fine.

Thank you! Do you recommend I shell out the extra coin for a custom?

Oh yes!! Customs are VERY much worth every penny! Jim's production Rockstars are also awesome!! Heck, you can even get one with a Damascus blade.
