Is there such a thing as THE knife

If you could have either or what would it be for edc and why if you dont mind me asking?

I do not mind. For EDC, a small Sebbie would be my choice. The Rockstar IS a great knife, but it is wide. I prefer the slimmer profile of the Sebbie, out of the two.

NOW I need a sebenza, im looking THANKS TKC! I think the Lg reg will be almost perfect for my edc now that i have rethought it. :D

If they made the Sebenza just a tad bit smaller than the Lg. size and a tad bit bigger than the Sm. size then it would be perfect.

Can you sell off most of your knives and just be happy with 2 or 3? im selling about 1/2 of my folders and am buying a Burke Rockstar, i think thats THE knife for me. IS there any such thing?

I would be okay selling off all my other knives and just keeping two Buck Custom Shoppe 110's.

My stag 110 is really the only one I carry these days anyway.

Yes, you can have only a few knifes, but YOU have to be content with them. I find buying more knifes, just leads to buying more knifes. My knifes are trusted partner, and I keep the few of mine till they died.

I have edc the same knife everyday for 2 years (no rotations) and the same multitool for 8.

Any Barry Dawson Alabama Damascus 4" or less. Razor sharp with fantastic thumb-ramp for work and radical file work for looks. And a neat kydex sheath idea that I haven't seen anywhere else.

Sure. I started collecting when I was just entering university, and due to financial constraints, I sold off everything except for a limited edition Spyderco Calypso Jr. grey handle.

That was one great utility folder, and the full flat grind makes it a wonderful cutter.

That was until some jerk popped one of those coin-op gym lockers and stole my knife and my cash.

So yes, if you do find a good knife, you could sell almost all the other ones. I haven't had the need to look at new knives for a long long time until the theft happened.

A mere figment of the imagination, a mythical treasure much like the bowie Alan Ladd dropped in the river, and the Sword in the Stone that now resides with the Lady of the lake. An impossible thing to acquire, I know, for I have quested myself!!

I do believe that there is a knife.

Unfortunately my tastes change so "the knife" also changes. I used to enjoy large knives; I owned a R.E.K.A.T Sifu at one time. Now I prefer small knives, my last couple of EDCs have been a Benchmade 310 Benchmite, William Henry T-09 Kestrel and now what I believe to be the "knife", a Nemesis Imp.

I'm down to 3 knives, mostly because I just bought an XM-18 which is way more expensive than any other knife I've purchased before. I'm happy where I'm at. I'll be getting more knives, but at a slower pace. I would be okay with not getting another knife for several months now.
