Images from the Real Strider SFM I had in my pocket today
umm its not a ZT knife. I think Strider had input on some of the ZT knives, but they are 2 different company's altogether.

That seller is also selling a NsN number Strider DB and as far as I know DB's have never need copied in china.

It does not look bad they only thing that stands out to me is the screw in the LBS

I don't think that they used 154 CM, But I know they have been putting out SMF's in CPM 154 as of late and they are marked CPM 154 on the blade

One way to spot a fake is that the logo and name will be stamped on the blade this one looks to be lazer etched or engraved like the real ones have.

look at the strider emblem on yours and compare to the other pics.Pay attention to the feathers or what ever those are.

before I post this, I'm gonna say. I don't know shite about striders. I have handled a couple but that's it.

I do have a question tho. The pic above shows the blade tip extending almost half way across the lanyard hole.

I own a few, knives and this would seem to be a red flag for me. as expensive as those knives are it would seem that the blade tip wouldn't extend into the lanyard hole.

So, do the real ones do this, assuming that the one above is fake, or is it just a design flaw in a 2-300.00 dollar knife?
 
That is normal for Striders as you only use one side for a lanyard.
 
I don't think it came in 154cm. Yes, obviously it is made in CPM154, but I would think that the steel would be stamped on the blade if NOT s30v. And it's a LEGO.
 
So the overall consensus is this is a authentic smf in s30v? The owner said he purchased it from a known strider dealer in tampa flordia a couple years ago and never used it.

Yes. Congrats on a great score.
Also considering that it is a few years old and has no steel stamp Im 99% sure it's S30V. And like the post says above, it will also have a radiused lock face. The newer ones are coming in CPM 154 and have a flat lock face.
 
i have a PT with the same stamping as that one, so thats fine what creeps me out is the pivot it looks too "raw" and i really cant remember last time a saw a blasted Ti SMF, PTs sure but not SMF

This was my first thought based on the OP's pics, but there've been many versions of the SMF so I can't confirm...

I had an older S35VN SMF aluminum non lock side that the strider name looked doubled stamped/engraved on but it was 100% the real deal so the OP's knife is hard to call...
