Is this Large Sebenza I just purchased real, and original??

I received the anodized Sebbie today and love it! I am 99% positive that it was annodized vs. torched based on the edge patterns where the chemicals ran over (I need to scotch bright the edges to make it look cleaner I think. Here are the pics, but for the price, I am way happy, other than the anodizing, it is brand new, no wear even on the thumb stud!

wow that looks a lot better in your pictures than the original photos off ebay. It actually looks nice! great score.

It also kind of looks like the finish was jeweled before anodizing. Never seen a finish quite like it.

That looks much better than the pics from the bay!
IMO, you should start a new thread with these pics since many may not see it here.

That's sick man. Lookin at the pics I'm not sure if the same guy did it or not as the edges look unfinished and it looks almost 3D. But that thing is just awesome. Especially for the money.

+1

Looks 100% better than the ebay pictures

I will pull out th ebetter cam (these are phone cam pics) and start a new thread with it, pretty cool I finally have a Sebbie that is worthy of posting, vs. a plain jane large or the knifeart CF scaled, which is just a plain jane with a CF scale. Working with a custom scale maker now though on designing my own Sebbie scale, I just bought a bunch of different dark blue and green black Australian Lightening Ridge Opals, and the scale maker specializes in colored, polished CF scales, and is going to make me a Sebbie scale with his choice from my pile of black opals inset into a blue CF scale, that will be another thread probably in Jan, really excited about that one too :).

Art work there!!!! Beautiful! Congrats!
My hope is that you leave it as it is, really a stunner!

It does look cool...
I would def polish/fix edges that touch would move the look to refined...

I was just saying about the flame job, that qualifies it as used. In no world would that be considered "new" to me.

I'm on the fence here... I would consider it new if it's never been used or molested but I guess I would consider this one new with an asterisk. A few of my knives are NIB collectors and like SA said, in no world would I put them on that level but as a user it wouldn't bother me if I liked the way the anodizing was done. The price was definitely good enough to buy though.

I didn't see the pics load before but now that I did, I have to agree with the others... the pics on eBay didn't do that knife justice. If the seller had used your pics I bet it would have sold for more. Very nice looking knife. Congrats.

heres my thing bud........

guy has a knife like that and cant afford a good enough camera to not have blurry pics?........... mmm

Man, that looks awful. You should totally sell it to me for $5 more than what you paid and consider yourself lucky...;)

If the guy who sold it would have taken pictures like these he probably would have been able to get a good deal more than what it want for...

He said he was selling for someone else, which I guess means someone else got screwed :/. And it came with everything; the box, the irtch cert, allen wrench, lanyard, everyting thay my new one came with. Thanks for the comments guys, I am really happy wut this buy, i feel like I got a steal!

Man, I was thinking, "another newbie buying high end knives on ebay", but I must say, it looks great and I think you got a really good deal. You lucked out big time.

That looks beautiful!!!
The Ebay pics sucked but now a real look at it, it's gorgeous.
I would leave it the way it is and jump up and down that you got an unused and cool looking Large Sebenza for $320.

If you ever get rid of that, I want first dibs!

I would leave it as it is and carry it and love that you have a Sebenza that no one else does.

Interesting part (and the biggest red flag for me) was he had it as Buy it Now for $320, hence why I jumped, but didn't pay right away, which leads me to another post below :D.

I am definitely everything you said, except for one difference, before I paid, but after I won the auction, I posted here as well as emailing CRK about spa treatment to return it to factory if I didn't like it, which they said they would do confirming warranty! And of course I got a bunch of great feedback from here (some one way, some another, what i expected, it was a tough call), but once the seller said he would honor a return, I figured I had nothing to lose :). So while I am indeed a newbie buying expensive knives, I had the power of Grey-skull (BF, aka you guys ;), thanks so much for everyone's advice) and CRK behind me before i committed, the internet is such a wonderful place :).
